Had fun with this one.
Used the legs + helm from an UM Inceptor, upper torso a basic BA intercessor and jumppack from the BA Captain.
Autocannon from Toyverse and I painted it.
Very unique for many reasons 🤣🤣
Bring on the next project.
I thought I'd finished off my Sa'Kan but wanted the helm option too.
I got a yellow magnetic LED off AliExpress, painted the lenses Averland Sunset. I'm glad the LED is strong because it WILL show through the paint which is awesome.
Just scraped the helm with a mini screwdriver, painted the lines black then added over some Green Stuff World Coagulated Blood.
He's now my favourite custom I've done 😂🤟
I am not the best when it comes to brushwork but I've had a blast doing these and have more planned.
I know there's some they'll never do, certain types, sub chapters etc so I'm doing my own.
The Sons of Medusa was my first full painted custom. The body was originally an UM Hellblaster 😂
EVERYONE should try at least one custom of their own. There is no wrong way of doing it with the satisfaction you get from doing it.
I know the purple is bright but I love it 😂 Because of how big they are and my brush skills aren't that smooth I usually spray the figures I do.
My first ever attempt at a DK and I love the scheme. Added a Deathwatch pauldron for more bling 😂
Planning on doing another one as a Hellblaster Sergeant.
Been trying to get this done since March 😂 My first full custom.
Base figure was an UM Hellblaster. Arms from Iron Hands. Helm from Armouring Hall.
Used Colour Forges Salamander Green.
Pauldrons from PrintThink3D and are awesome, fun to paint them.
Got some transfers off eBay for the backpack.
Used 2 coats satin varnish and a coat of matt.
Will be adding weathering to the armour ( dust or mud drybrush not decided yet )
Was great to do start to finish.
I'm sure others have said this before but this is my take.
With new releases of intercessors, the market they are missing out on is huge. As an example most chapters have different coloured helms for fire support, assault etc. If they did more heavies or class related figures, people would, like me, kitbash the hell out of them because they look awesome 🤣
With many things like figures, cars, gaming, and hobby related things in general, the aftermarket scene is very lucrative and they should start to look into it.
These are what I've done as examples. Not minded doing them but would be nice to have some options when looking for more Joytoy's 🤣 As they're getting too much army builder at the moment, not much unique or it costs £££££££
Gonna be doing an IF Hellblaster and then a BA Suppressor, have an autocannon on way.
Swapped the helms and lenses and they look great in person. Easy hack if people want something different or want to make an IF heavy squad etc.
First time trying yellow I'm using Colour Forges Sunset Yellow, primed in White Scar. I know with other figures I've done when you put varnish on it, it'll dull down the tone of the colour.

Anyone either used same colour or experience what shade it'll alter to once varnish is done?

Either way I'll still give it a go and try.
I'm one of those guys who loves the heavies, especially with how some chapters have the different coloured helmets. I've resorted to getting both Ultra Hellblasters or Sternguard Vets and customising them myself.
There is definitely a market out there for these especially with the new range of intercessors, not difficult to do what I've done with the BA Hellblaster for example and it looks nuts 🤣🤣
Anyway, that's my rant over 🤣
