Seems GW is really changing our Heraldry
In the past it already happened where we got Novamarines style 12 pointed star instead of the 8 we used to have (I think it was the IH Combat Patrol decals).
I used to see them as mistakes, but it seems they're really sticking to it. These pictures are from the brand new codex, p65 which thus far is the only place I've seen out chapter make an appearance (though I haven't gone through everything in detail yet)

Starting the army off by doing a test stand for each unit - Sons of Medusa

Painting tips and options?
Brothers finally gonna get around and start painting. I haven't painted before, so I'm sure I'm gonna mess up lol. Gonna use my servo turrets as my practice models a noble sacrifice. Looking to see what brand of paints you all recommend and just some common things to do when painting!
I'm still been debating on which scheme to use either Iron hands or Sons of Medusa and would also love to hear if any of you have painted SoM you're reasoning for doing so!

Victory for the Sons of Medusa!
Only my second game of 11th edition, but I managed to pull out a win against the guard. I ran the Librarius Conclave and Orbital Assault Force detachments and the Reconnaissance force disposition and found that ten Hellblasters with a Librarian were absolutely devastating, especially coming down out of a drop pod!
The MVP was definitely the assault intercessors out of the landraider, who managed to carve through a unit of Kreig engineers, a 20 man brick of candians, and then lock a Rogal Dorn Commander in combat until the end of turn 4, basically shutting down an entire flank for the whole game on their own.
Overall, the Librarius Conclave detachment was great, but Orbital Assault Force felt a bit gimmicky and I probably won't take it again.
