Welp, I finished a thing... I present Honoured Ancient Chordis, former Techmarine, now venerable adviser to the Sons of Medusa Chamber Ferrum...

The biggest kitbash I've attempted, and my first Dreadnought. Lots of firsts with my chonky boy, here, actually... First kit I started specifically with 3D printed bits, first extensive use of pigments and major weathering, and some off-the-cuff posing, as well as sponge painting oil washing. Took forever as he was daunting from the start. But I trusted the process, and here we are. Couple things I'd do differently, if I were to do again (HA! NO!...), but otherwise, I'm so proud of ma boy! All grown up and off ta smash threats to the Imperium. 😢 *sniff*

Need some ideas for my SoM Scouts!

I'm building the noobs fairly close to standard - a few extra pouches/bits to reflect that they area little better kitted out, but otherwise, they are Scouts. As Sons of Medusa, all heads will be bionic/cybernetic, but only the Sarge has additional bionics, to reflect his rank. I have decided to go with the Desert Support camouflage, as my dooders are on desert bases (which, let's face it, works REALLY well with Armageddon - happy accident - I didn't plan on it... 😁) The hard armour will have the proper striped camo pattern, but I am looking for help determining what colour the fatigues should be. DuskTilDawnMiniatures on YouTube has a great tutorial for power armour, but ive never seen and example of the Scout armour. Any help appreciated! Thanks as ever, community! Have a great one!

SONS OF MEDUSA BLADEGUARD WIP

So my current projects of kitbashed Assault Intercessors and Scouts have been paused indefinitely, as I wait for them to emerge from the Warp Storm that is the Canadian Postal Service! 🤬 Lol. Not really that bad, but definitely has put a crimp in the plan... Anywho. I had found a Bladeguard body in ye olde bitz box, and was considering to fill time with...something. He'd originally been a Deathwatch Marine, so I had to edit that before anything else. Shoulder pauldron (and shoulders) were removed, as was some heinous looking green stuff work (to be fair, it WAS one of my first attempts using the stuff... 🤪) Knocked off a third party shin emblem as well. So there i was with a disarmed Bladeguard, with no ideas for the next step... Until BIG SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU to Radjel40K for their post that inspired me to work on the above!!! Now, i just need to get him into the queue for paint... I have an overall plan, but if anyone has any idea for the shield, I'd love to hear it. I'm a Warclan Mageara guy; the default is SoM Green and Emerald Green, but as a long term vet, I'm thinking something more...Epic. Maybe a classic Greek hoplite colour? I've decided to leave the shield as is, no bits or ribbons. At most, dents and dings via weathering... Otherwise, any input is always appreciated! Cheers! 🍻

So it Begins

Hello everyone here is the first of many Lachesian Sons of Medusa (I haven't fully decided which company they should be).

This Revered Armored Warhost of Clan Lachesis shall rend asunder any enemies of the God Emperor and Omnisiah that are foolish enough to get in front of their cannons.

Next I plan to continue sponge painting with some Intercessors to polish my technique and get a better feel for the style before moving on to my two Repulsor Executioners.

I painted it using the sponge painting technique, and I just want to say that is is probably my new favorite technique when it comes to painting miniatures. I would also like to give credit for my great success in this paint job to Medders' Miniatures on YT and Kaarna on Paint Pad. Medders' Miniatures gave me the courage to try out a new paint company as well which has come in clutch here.

Thank you all for your time and have a great day :)

Gone for a while but back with some near certain heresy.

Took a bit of a break from 40K to paint some MESBG Uruk-Hai and hit some elves. But im back! Kitbashed this absolute unit forming 2/3 of my Bladeguard Vets - I guarantee the Codex Astartes has concerns regarding full size chain sword power-fists but I don't want to be the one to tell him that.
