There will be no War Clan insignias added on the knee pad in SM2

Quite disappointing honestly.

When the chapter is officially added in SM2, I hope they use the chapter badge from the Badab War

The chapter badge really didn’t need to change, the one used in the Badab War was perfect IMO. Which version of our chapter badge do you prefer?

Big man with big sword

Since I started the hobby just under 18 months ago I’d desperately wanted to paint up a blade guard squad. I dabbled in my teenage but Primaris marines didn’t exist then, and today I finally started!

I kitbashed a long sword, I’ve got a squad of three who I intend to all make different fighting styles and visual personality. Loads of fun to paint and make!

Ideas for onverting the new Jump Chaplain to an Iron Father?

I'll be splitting the upcoming 11th edition box with a buddy who plays Orks, and was thinking about bits etc. I'd need for conversions (like bionics etc.)

But the Jump Chaplain will need quite a bit more work, as (as far as I know) the sons of Medusa haven't mended their relations with the Ecclesiarchy and maintain the rank of Iron Father and of course still have their faith in the Omnisiah.

So I'd like to make this guy a bit more like a Techmarine/Iron Father.

How would you do that? Obviously snip the Rosarius. Any ideas or bits to replace? I don't think I've seen a Jump Techmarine (reasonable though it would be cool) so I'm not entirely sure how to approach it.

Some recent additions

The terminators are looking a bit more yellow in the photo than they really are - still figuring out photography! Did the infiltrators in classic dessert support scheme for fun.

Have almost finished 2k, just a Landraider I need to add.

Sons of Medusa Eradicators

Sons of Medusa Eradicators of the Lachesis War clan 9th company 3rd Squad ready for deployment.

After finishing these guys I’m convinced to do 3 more and an apothecary biologist to make a big squad because they are so cool!

Badab Skirmish 2.0

I really enjoy the Badab war as a concept and wanted to depict a small skirmish/duel between two chapters I enjoyed on opposite sides

My new dice box & First SoM model WIP

I got the dicebox of someone from vinted for a good price.

The model I am trying to paint without using gold paint.

Did the green with a make up sponge.🙂

First SoM completed!

I’m making a Badab skirmish (2 marine) diorama, and I wanted to have one of them be my favorite Iron Hands successor.

I grabbed the bull by the horns

I hate faces and always avoided them so this weekend I bit the bullet and just went for it. I feel barely more confident and still avoided the eyes - any tips?

The Sons of Medusa need you.

Our will must be as steel, our resolve as adamantium; it cannot yield even for a moment. We few have been entrusted with a sacred duty to ensure the Emperor’s reign is eternal. So shall it be, whatever the cost

A call to those who feel the molten heart of Medusa burning in their breast - the Sons of Medusa are recruiting.

We are a brand new mil-sim server dedicated to the Sons of Medusa, a successor chapter of the Iron Hands that were exiled following the Moirae Schism and demonstrated their loyalty through brutal purging of heretics within the Imperium.

Whether you play PVP, PVE, modded PVE, tabletop, Darktide or nothing at all, all Sons of Gorgon are welcome to stand with us. To purge the weak. To know no fear.

Chamber Ferrum and Apothecaries

So as per imperial armour volume 10

Besides the official command chain, there sit the unofficial links of respect and tradition; the wisdom of the chapter's Venerable Dreadnoughts and their Techmarines, who group themselves together as the "Chamber Ferrum." The Chamber Ferrum not only advises the War Clan leaders, it keeps direct control over essential chapter resources such as the forges and apothecarion. This ensures chapter unity in focus, philosophy and materiel.

So as I read it and understood from other blurbs and wikis the apothecaries for the Sons of Medusa are under the command of the Chamber Ferrum, the Techmarines, basically they have a supercharged Armoury part of chapter command, not only that, but if they maintain the Iron Father rank the Iron Hands have, combining the roles of the Chaplain and Techmarine (Which seems reasonable to me), this body would effectively control the Armoury, Apothecarion, and Reclusiam of the chapter.

Now we know how the Iron Fathers look because of the Iron hands, but I'm interested in the idea of the Techmarines/Apothercary combination.

How would you depict this (if at all)?

Would you change anything about the symbols or color schemes they use?

I personally think the Chapter command through the Chamber Ferrum and Iron Thanes are some of the most interesting snippets of SoM lore we have. Have any of you guys played around with the concept?
