Does Teddy pay for his burgers?

Should he? Does he tip? They mention Teddy doing various jobs in exchange for burgers, but is that the extent of his payment?

I mean, he’s Bob’s best friend. [Insert Bob sigh.] If my best friend comes over, I’d feed him just because we’re friends. But I don’t run a struggling restaurant.

Conversely, if my best friend ran a struggling restaurant, and I ate there all of the time, I’d feel weird if I never paid. But leaving a tip would feel strange, too. (Probably because tipping is terrible and we should just pay people better.)

Samantha and Donut’s social media

There’s a scene in the Bedlam Bride where Carl and Donut take a nap in Donut’s room. When Carl wakes up, Samantha has managed to turn Donut’s social media board on and she is muttering to herself while she uses it. Something like “Come on, let me do it. Let me or you know what I will do…”

Carl tells Samantha to knock it off before she breaks something and moves on. But what was Samantha doing? I don’t really have a theory myself. Some sort of research? Trying to figure out what’s wrong with her?

I’m not going to say wrong answers only, but they’re welcome too. :)

Constantly wet foundation crack, how to repair?

We discovered some water in our basement a couple of months ago. We had a couple of companies come in and give us quotes to address it. The one we went with found the source of the water. There's a crack in the foundation that was hidden behind some drywall, which they ripped out. (The only 6 feet of drywall along the entire perimeter, naturally.)

The repair company said that they cannot repair the crack until it dries out. Would have been nice if they explained that before we hired them. But OK, we'll wait for it to dry out. But it's starting to look like that may never happen. It's been months, with only marginal improvement. The repair guy came back once, and confirmed they still can't fix it like this.

We've kept the situation under control with towels and buckets, but I'd like to get it truly resolved. It's beyond my DIY abilities, I'm sure. But I'm looking for suggestions on what to ask a professional to do about it.

The repair guy we've been working with has said a couple of times now that he thinks we may need to bust through the floor under where it is leaking, install a drain cover, and just let the water travel down and out that way. The more I think about that, the more I wonder if this dude knows what he is doing. Maybe he's not explaining it well? Because if we did what I just described, isn't there a strong possibility that water will come up through the hole in the floor instead of draining out that way?

Oura says that most nights I have hours of “awake” time while I’m in bed. I don’t remember it in the morning, mostly. But I’m constantly tired all day long, and I’m guessing this is a big part of the reason.

Does anyone else have stats like these? Any insights on why I can spend 9+ hours in bed and still accumulate sleep debt?

I’ve had two in-office sleep studies done and they said I don’t have sleep apnea.
