What Should Linda (1996 version) Look Like if She Ever Returned?

While I harbor no illusions of her ever returning and coexisting with Kara--and frankly, her book was complete enough that I don't want her to--I do wonder what she'd look like in a world with two Danvers women around.

(Note: I'm thinking of Linda separate from Matrix, but having gone through the events of the 1996 series.)

Like, what are her options? Anything resembling the classic Supergirl costume is, I feel, pretty much out of the question, not only because of Kara, but also because the 1996 Supergirl solidly established that look as not Linda's. The Superman: TAS costume, meanwhile, doesn't have much to recommend it outside of its own particular context. The world has moved on from that look, and Linda has as well.

One option is the costume she briefly wore in the final issues of her series, combining both the Matrix and the animated series looks; this is probably my favorite option, as something that feels hers and hers alone. The other option that comes to mind is for her to forgo a costume entirely, and just go in civvies; not only would it immediately distinguish her from all the other Supergirls and Supergirl-likes (I'm thinking that she keep her brown hair), it'd also work as a nod to Linda-with-serial-numbers-filed-off Lin from Peter David's Fallen Angel. An of course, she could have an entirely new costume.

Thoughts?

Gargoyles + (TMNT) Fanvid

I've done a couple of Gargoyles / TMNT (2003) fanvids over the years, but this is by far my favorite. I've always thought the two series had a lot in common--it comes with sharing writers and subgenres--but even then I was pleasingly surprised at some of the parallels and how well some sequences matched up. Just as surprising was seeing all the ways the two cartoons didn't quite work together: if Gargoyles ever gets a revival, the top thing on my wishlist is for them to really figure out how to make gargoyle combat visually interesting. As is, it was a struggle finding good fight scenes for all the clan, especially Brooklyn and Lexington. On the other hand, the work really helped me appreciate just how good the Disney Japan episodes looked, and forced me to take another look at season one, which often feels easy to neglect.

But yeah. I don't really expect the powers that be to ever decide that a crossover comic is worthwhile, but this is my argument for why they really really should.
