Head bolts washers

Im Just about to start reassembling the top end of my 89 C4 and i have bought a set of new head bolts for the car as the old ones were pretty degraded. The set is got was from fel Pro and they look great but have a different shape to the oem ones and have no washers of course.

My question is can I A: re use the washers from the old head bolts (assuming i can get them off) and B: if I cant do that what washers should I buy to replace them.

I will get measurements of the old and new head bolts to ensure the washers will be compatible.

This is my first engine rebuild so im learning as I go along with help from my mate who owns 8+ 1930s American cars here in the uk. His knowledge is limited of course and the most modern engine he has re built was a big block in a 69 el camino so any help would be awsome.

Cheers

Question

Doing a top end rebuild on my c4, haven't seen this plate on the throttle body online beofre. Just something the pervious owner has put on or an after market throttle body?

Weather stripping replacement

Am I really going to have to drop £800 on a full set of weather stripping prom corvette rubber for the good stuff. or are there cheaper and still quality alternatives? I know the cheap sets you can get for £200 or so are crap but is there an intermediate price product?

I will probably end up just buying the corvette rubber stuff thats more expensive but still thought i should ask.

Wheel refurbishment?

I have finally bought my first C4, its a 1989 automatic. Super happy with the car considering the price. But there are a few cosmetic details I want to get sorted to start.

Namely the wheels, I wasn't sure if the center caps can be re finished the same as the rest of the wheels. What would people i suggest I do to them

Thanks form the uk

Potential next project...

This thing looks pretty crazy on paper. Bored out, fitted with forged rods and pistons as well as being cammed. Also fitted with a 5 speed manual. Priced at 6k. Im very tempted but I think it would take a good amount of work to get it going fully. But 500hp us hard to ignore 👀👀

Should I buy this?

Was there a manual version of this shape produced at all? Im in the uk so pickings are slim in terms of what i can get hold of unless I import something.

Question/advice

I was wondering how common are manual 1st gen C4 corvettes? I live in the uk and unfortunately pickings are pretty slim in terms of what is for sale.

I have been considering an 87 C4 which was imported from california. It has 110k miles but it's the auto. Ideally I would prefer a manual of I could find one but from what I have seen there aren't many over here. Plus with the millage on that car I'm wondering if I would be getting my self in a whole lot of electrical problems.

If the right car was available in the US I would consider importing it depending on price but I need to look into costs of that.
