Editorial Director Tom shared a snippet from this summer's Rey book (Legacy out on July 28)

"There was so much to do. The door to domed shelter whooshed open and Rey came crashing in, brown hair slicked to her face by sweat, eyes wide and darting, like a child caught returning home after dark. Leia went still, struck, not for the first time, by their sameness. A chill ran through her; seeing the young woman was like gazing back across the gulf of time to the Leia who still ran and leapt after her Jedi brother." Editorial Director Tom also teased that first excerpt will release "relatively soon". (Source: https://x.com/DarthInternous/status/2054766340536205595 )

"The first-ever original Mandalorian and Grogu comic is coming out this summer from Mad Cave Studios' kids imprint Papercutz. Scheduled to come out after May 2026's The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, Papercutz‘s The Mandalorian & Grogu: Danger in the Dark will serve as a prequel to the movie, set after The Mandalorian season 3.

"A hidden danger looms deep beneath the surface of Nevarro and it’s up to the Mandalorian and Grogu to stop it!" reads the official description of the book. "Joined by a courageous crew of Anzellan friends, Din Djarin and his foundling venture into the lava tubes underneath the city to defuse a crashed pirate ship, facing creepy creatures and perilous obstacles along the way. But with the planet’s safety on the line, can Grogu learn to listen to Mando’s guidance? And can Mando balance teaching Grogu with letting the little guys lead? Don’t miss this high-energy story full of humor and heart!"

The Mandalorian & Grogu: Danger in the Dark is written by veteran Star Wars scribe Delilah S. Dawson, and drawn by the team of layout artist Mario del Pennino and penciler/inker Arianna Florean. Like many comics these days, The Mandalorian & Grogu: Danger in the Dark will come with several covers including ones by Juni Ba, Ramon Rosanas, and Brent Schoonover.

The Mandalorian and Grogu: Danger in the Dark is scheduled to be available at your local bookstore beginning July 22. The movie The Mandalorian & Grogu opens in theaters Thursday, May 21."
