Boarding our dog for travel - looking for some advice / support

Hi,

My wife and I recently had our daughter. Shes 5 months old now and I will be taking my paternity leave in September. We live in NA but will be spending two months in Europe. I’ve never had this much time off and likely won’t again until / if we have a second kid!

We absolutely love our dog. Especially me. I’m very attached to her and the longest we’ve ever left her was just under 3 weeks. We try to take her everywhere and include her in everything but it’s not realistic to bring her with us. I researched this pretty extensively. It’s also going to be far too hot for a 60 lb black lab.

Our pup loves her boarder. Loves her to absolute bits. The boarder is someone we know and trust. She sends daily updates for the dog while we’re gone. Our dog comes back so happy every time.

2 months is by far the longest we’ll go without her and I’m just so sad. It might seem like nothing to others or those that don’t have pets (this is my first dog, I’m 36 and I’d never even considered being a pet owner) but I can’t get my head around it. If you can’t tell, I’m far more attached than my wife who’s focused on the baby, understandably. It’s also going to be a special time with my daughter so I want to be able to enjoy it while I’m gone.

I know she’s going to be in excellent (and expensive) hands. I still feel so guilty and shitty for leaving her.

I guess I’m just looking to understand if others would feel this way or if it’s normal? Thanks

Need opinions on tints

Hi folks I got my 2026 black edition back in March. Around the same time we had our first baby so I hastily went to get the windows tinted. I haven’t had a chance to sit back and look at it in the summer and determine if I went with the right amount of tint. I kind of want to go darker in the front.

I’m pretty sure the tints are supposed to match but for the life of me I can’t remember what I asked the guy

Seatbelt question 2026

Hi friends, I’ve got a 2026 xc60 and have had a recent terrible service experience.

The service is finally complete and they sent back my car today with two twisted seatbelts in the front.

I’m sorry if this is a stupid post but i can’t for the life of me figure out how to untwist them. I’ve seen the videos of folding them and pulling through but I’m clearly not doing it properly.

Both driver and passenger seat are twisted like this. I’m extremely annoyed, it’s something minor but it’s really gnawing at me. I want to fix it. Please and thanks.

Nonstop mechanical whir / buzzing sound

Hi folks, I’ve got a 2026 xc60 ultra black edition. It has the HUD for drivers side info. Recently, it’s gotten hotter where we live (25-30 degrees Celsius).

All of a sudden I’ve noticed a few things and I imagine this is all related to the dashboard electronics but figured I’d ask here. I’ve got service booked June 12th but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.

First thing I noticed was all the warning lights turned on today, after turning car on and off, then it was just the check engine light. After driving for a bit and cycling the car again, all warning lights gone. The consistent thing throughout all of this is this odd mechanical buzzing / whirring that seems to be coming from the instrument display behind the steering wheel. Ai responses tell me that it might be a small cooling unit used to cool down the cluster and as a result it might be tripping out due to the heat. I’ve never had this issue with my 2024 xc60.

Hopefully this video helps. Anyone have any idea what this might be? Thanks
