Help me achieve this hair color!

Hi everyone! I’m completely new to henna and I’d really appreciate some advice before I do anything to my hair.

I have 100% virgin hair , I’ve never dyed it, bleached it, used henna, or put any kind of color treatment on it before. My hair is also in very good condition.

My natural hair is dark/pitch black. I’m South Asian ( if that matters) and I’d describe my hair as genuinely black rather than very dark brown.

I’m trying to achieve the color in my reference picture (I’ll attach it), and I’d actually be totally happy if the result had a little more of a cherry/pinkish-red undertone than the reference. I basically want a rich, noticeable reddish-brown/cherry-brown effect rather than just subtle red highlights.

My questions are:

  1. Is this remotely realistic with henna alone on pitch-black hair? I understand henna can't lighten hair, so I'm wondering how much of the reference color I could realistically get just from red/copper pigment.

  2. Which brands do you recommend? Which are available in Belgium and netherlands?

I’m trying to keep this budget-friendly and as natural as possible, so I’d really prefer not to bleach if there’s any realistic way of getting reasonably close with henna.

I’d love to hear from anyone with naturally Asian hair who has actually used henna and can tell me what kind of result they got!

Thank you!

Am I being too controlling about my 17-year-old daughter staying out until 2–3am?

My daughter is 17 and currently has a summer job. Her shift usually ends around 6-7pm but lately she has been coming home around 2–3am.

The part that worries me most isn't necessarily that she is out with friends. She says she is hanging out with friends she met through work, and as far as I know, she doesn't have a history of drinking. What scares me is that I have absolutely no idea where she is or what she is doing for most of the night.

She doesn't update me, doesn't tell me where she is going and doesn't tell me what time she plans to be home. If I ask, she gets very defensive and says things like, "Why do you need to know?" "Stop controlling me," and "I want to make memories."

I understand that she is 17 and wants more independence. I don't want to control every aspect of her life or stop her from having fun with her friends. But she is still a minor and coming home at 2–3am without communicating with me makes me extremely anxious.

I'm also concerned because she is already struggling at school, so I worry that this lifestyle could make things worse.

At this point, I feel like talking to her doesn't get anywhere because she immediately becomes rude or shuts me down.

Edit: talking to her is NOT working. What should i do?

Cheap Acne safe moisturizer?

I found this Kruidvat nightcream and I've read some reviews saying that its acne safe. But im still a bit apprehensive cause its from a drugstore. Does anyone have experience using this? Is it safe to use on acne prone skin?

Best eyelash + eyebrow serum under €10 that actually works?

Hi! I’m looking for a lash serum that can be used on both eyelashes and eyebrows and I’d love recommendations from people who have actually used one and seen real results (longer, thicker, or fuller lashes/brows).

I’ve seen so many serums online that have mixed reviews, so I’m hoping to hear from people who personally noticed a difference after a few weeks or months of using it.

Ideally I’m looking for something:

Under €10

Available in Belgium or the Netherlands

If you’ve tried one that genuinely worked for you, could you tell me which serum it was, where you bought it, how much it cost, and how long it took before you noticed results?

Thanks so much!

Freeman masks acne safe?

I have acne prone skin and my biggest issue is that my skin is usually very dry and dehydrated, especially on my cheeks and around my mouth. My T-zone gets oily, but the rest of my face is pretty dry, so I’m looking for something that might help hydrate my skin without making my acne worse.

I’ve been seeing the Freeman masks everywhere on the internet, and they’re so cheap at kruidvat that I’m tempted to try one. But I’m worried that they might be irritating or clog my pores.

I know everyone’s skin is different, but I’d love to hear some real experiences before I buy one since they’re so affordable. What do you guys think?
