Hi friends! I have just received my prescription for lexapro 10mg today and I am SUPER nervous. Backstory about me, I struggle with medication anxiety and was diagnosed with GAD. I don’t smoke, drink or take anything that will alter how I feel. I’ve been struggling with pretty bad anxiety my whole life but I’ve good at masking. Recently my anxiety and stress has manifested very physically and small triggers result in bad nausea and acid reflux. My doctor today finally prescribed me 10mg of lexapro and I’m looking for advice, side effects, anything that will support someone who doesn’t like taking an Advil lol. I also work in a factory on a line, and was wondering if any side effects I should let my boss know about to support my transition. Should I wait till I’m off for 3 days to start? Thanks!
Hello. I am desperately looking for some advice or guidance regarding my recent health flare up.
June 11th 2026 I thought I got food poisoning, I was not throwing up but nauseous and diarrhea. The following weekend my stomach was off, slowly went from nausea to loss of appetite real fast. I want to make it clear I have not gotten sick ONCE during this whole process.
June 14-20th I was eating very minimal, crackers, rice cakes, safe foods and thought it would pass. On the 20th I checked myself into the emergency room after having a pain under my right rib cage for 12 hours. After bloodwork, urine, ultrasounds I came back clear besides being dehydrated and having an abnormally high Bilirubin. The ER said to take this up with my family doctor.
June 27th I see my family doctor he requests more bloodwork and it comes back normal besides high bilirubin again. He’s confused and goes over my symptoms again. I mentioned once or twice I had a burning in my stomach with the constant nausea every day so he prescribed me a PPI and Zofran, thinking it’s GERD. I’ve taken a PPI before and it did not go over so well for me. I’m so confused and drained, missing lots of work and just feeling like crap. I’m down 8 pounds total since the 11th. I meet with a naturopath today but wanted to see if this sounds like GERD? Any success stories with OMEPRAZOLE 20mg.
Thank u so much
