I am redoing my kitchen and there used to be a lazy Susan here but now one won’t fit with the dishwasher. I am looking for creative ideas for this space

I just bought a house and am starting to remodel my kitchen. The old owners had vinyl wallpaper and then covered that with wallpaper and then covered it again with stucco. I found that I can remove the layers easily because the vinyl wallpaper pretty much peels off now. There is a lot of leftover paper backing and glue that I have been using a scraper to get off. This is taking a ton of time. Can I just skim coat over the glue and paper backing?
