Hita! Any tips on how to pretty up this 1910 copy of The Lances of Lynwood?

I got this book today- its structurally fine, its just a little crumbly and needs some TLC. Any ideas? The previous owners used duct tape on the spine but that was both ugly af and clearly didn't work.

I've used ribbon to cover/ repair spines before on paperbacks - would that work here?

Can you help me figure out which doll she is?

Hi!! I got this dolly from charity shop today, and she is hallmarked as Palmary Three Hearts collection doll, and as being No. 247 out of 2000. Other then that there is nothing on her- she came without her box, and I can assume she is missing her socks shoes, and potentially an acessory on her back. Google thinks she ethier the companies 'Sidney' or 'Diana' sculpt execept both those dolls are standing and she is a sitting doll dressed entirely differently. Any help would very much be appreciated!
