Superiority Complex

Recently bought my first Aston Martin, a 2015 Rapide. I bought the car for my personal enjoyment, I could give a rip about other people’s car…or so I thought.

I now feel superior to others in terms of taste, class and highway acceleration. This superiority is most acute when seeing Porsche Panoramas.

Wondering if this is a common occurrence and if symptoms diminish over time.

Edit to clarify this is meant as a joke. With any luxury purchase there is a level of justification and I stretched that for comedic purposes. I haven’t owned a ‘fun’ car in decades and enjoying it all.

First ‘micro’

My son was extremely pumped to catch this one with no worm. Not sure it counts as micro, but he was also excited to know micro fishing exists. Cabin is close to the lake, hence the inside photo. He’s been happier trying to catch the smallest fish.

Another mid-life crisis dream

Knew I wanted a Rapide for a few years. Loved the spec on this one that sold years ago from Miller.

Exact car came up for sale recently and I took it as a sign. It’s now parked in my garage with a few more miles. Everything I had hoped for, the ‘Bentley’ leather is incredible…and that v12.

Appreciate folks that shared experiences and provided some feedback as I was researching.
