Okay so I've never gotten my hair braided before with extra hair (I know, criminal.) but now a big event is coming up for me and I really, really want to get my hair braided. The only issue is I know NOTHING about getting my hair braided. Like I don't know hair brands, synthetic vs. real, where to buy hair, how much, I barely know stylists, costs, what I should or shouldn't do, nothing. I have less knowledge than a 5 year old has on the political and economic state of the world like I'm COOKED. Please help y'all IDK what to do 😭. I don't wanna silk press my hair (that ish is going to hurt and not help anything) and would love to embrace my natural hair but I always wear it out. Thank you guys and much love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Anyone have good recs? Pricing and distance is not a concern for me, neither do I care at all for "old school" hairstylist. I need someone who will focus on my hair health, is not scissor happy, and has multiple treatment options available. And please, please no secret relaxer/straighter. I'm NOT trying to loose my curl pattern. Just keep it moisturized, trimmed, shaped, and happy.
