Wayfarer Legit check

Just picked up a pair of Wayfair from my friend of a friend. I thought I had done my research prior to this so that I could scope out a fake pair. My original plan was to bring along my pair of authentic aviator so I could compare things such as the case. But, unfortunately, I didn’t pan out. I looked over the glasses and they checked off almost everything that I thought I had done my research on. The hinge looks authentic. There is the metal piece that attaches the outer Ray band logo. The angle seems OK. It has the etching on the left lens. The right lens Ray-Ban logo looks almost exactly like my aviator one if not, maybe slightly more bold, but I can’t tell. However, it’s the case that really has given me red flags. After I brought it home and compared to my aviators case things just seemed different. For one it seems a little bit bigger. The protrusions on the inside where the glasses rest are bigger than on my aviator case. My aviator case also has metal on the inside where the snap attaches. The new case doesn’t. And the Ray-Ban logo is not quite a shiny. Perhaps it is an older case perhaps it is fake. It’s not uncommon for people to buy fake cases and have authentic glasses. But I just wanted your opinion as I am far from an expert.

Love my Schott jackets and peacoats but sometimes all you need is a nice sweater. Picked up this shawl cardigan . Loving it but will be a while before i can use it in the weather it was meant for. Summer is just getting started.
