anyone else thinks macos' handling of external monitors is unituitive?

so as windows is sunsetting my 6th gen intel pc (which runs just fine btw) from getting updates soon i wanted to try using my macbook as a desktop. but so far there are some grips that are hard to look beyond.

i was surprsied there was no ui scaling option built in. i downloaded a 3rd party app called betterdisplay for it, and it works but the way it describes "resolution" is unituitive too. if i enable "High Resolution (HiDpi), that actually means im gonna use my monitor's maximum resolution, and then the resolution I choose in the "resolution" option will not change the resolution but make ui scale such that it looks as if i was using that resolution.

The fact such a simple or basic aspect of computer usage is so incoherently conceptualized makes me feel... I'm not even sure how to put it into words.

Just watched the first episode, curious about something

I liked it, animation is great too.

One scene/part that bugged me was how sword of the final fight's opponent became at least half/third as big when the MC started using it. Also when he dealt the final slash, it somehow closed the distance (ok, since there was electricity this may be explained later), and there was no display of it causing the beheading yet suddenly its head flies.

You could say I'm a stickler for consistency. Just wondering if there are more things like this. Probably won't stop watching over this but I do mind it.
