Can we quit the Elo-shaming?

Cmon guys. It’s 2026, what’re we still doing trashing on people diamond and below? Obviously if someone is being arrogant and they are a gold, a little slander is to be expected.

But shutting down peoples voices, opinions, and feelings because they aren’t high elo is not a welcoming thing to do. This is a team based game, built strongly around the foundation of community.

Why must we silence and shut down those who are not mechanically blessed or those that don’t take the game seriously enough to be high elo?

I have no shame in admitting that I am hard stuck diamond, despite almost being account level 80. I shouldn’t feel embarrassed or ashamed that I don’t have the game knowledge or skill to advance any higher. Maybe I do, and I simply haven’t unlocked my full potential.

Either way, people that aren’t GM and higher should start to reveal themselves more in the community. We can desensitize the stigma of being low elo as a collective and learn to welcome those of all ranks. We all play the same game, and experience much of the same things, save high skill based situations and differing metas.

I guess what I’m saying is that I am hard stuck Diamond, and I will not be ashamed of admitting such a thing. I aim for higher, but I will not hide with the mask of the common Reddit phrase “I’M aKtUaLlY cELeStIAl 3”.

To elo shamers, grow tf up.

I got banned for throwing in a bot match

As the title says, my team reported me for being idle during a bot match. They were crushing the bots obviously, didn’t need help whatsoever and they all decided to report me anyway. Got a 6 hour ban.

They are either new and can’t tell that they are bots, or are just malicious and want me to suffer because they’re mad at life.

Bot matches need to go. I don’t have any fun with any hero there. I dont care if it’s practice or what, it’s brain dead and I’d rather stare at a wall. It’s absolutely mind numbing. Fuck the devs for making them mandatory after a string of losses. Hell, even after 1 loss I get them.

Fuck bots, and fuck those guys that reported me.

I’m tired

I’m tired of playing a match where it’s 4 or 5 dps and 1 or 2 strategist. The game is almost over and we are close to facing defeat, so I am obligated to switch to tank. Not because I can’t take an L or a give a shit about the outcome of the match you see, but because I don’t want to lose and then get thrown into a bot match the following game. I lose either way.

“Why don’t you just play tank from the start?” Because everyone knows how unrewarding tank is this season and honestly, it’s not even that fun, especially when I’m solo tanking.

The lack of role queue and a viable tanking experience is irksome in it’s own right, but what really gets me is the threat of the bot matches. Even when I get svp and do better than the other team, and meanwhile my fellow dps teammates go 4-11.

I hate wasting my time in a bot match that I know could’ve been prevented had there been proper vanguards. Even if they suck, at least they are a distraction sponge and doing more for the team than playing 4-11 punisher.

I don’t even know what I’m complaining about anymore. The lack of tanks? The lack of role queue? The lack of rewarding in tanking? The inevitable mind numbing bot matches? Everything?
