r/Dominos
Do dominos delivery drivers know when I tip them on the app?
Sometimes they stare at me and feels like they’re waiting for a cash tip
How big is your store (sales)
My store makes 45-55k in sales on a normal week. How much does yours make in a normal week?
it’s the best, it’s pizza
the solo edition pizza was leveling and delicious, and the one with the tasty crousty was amazing, after the garlic pizza was really sweet
Lava cakes
I heard through the grapevine we’re getting a new flavor of lava cakes
My GM in Training ordered 33 cases of string cheese instead of 3.
I call her 33 Strings now.
Stuffed crust
Are the stuffed crust pizzas supposed to have less toppings than the regular hand tossed?
The one I ordered yesterday definitely didn't have the same
amount as my regular hand tossed.
Is that intentional?
I have never ordered stuffed crust from Dominos before.
Pins
How do I get pins at Domino’s? I’ve been working there for 7 months and I still don’t have a single pin.
Worked my ass off for a month and all I got was this stupid pin
At least all the coupons are finally over now. Hopefully for a while.
7.99 carryout rant
I’m probably being dramatic here, but DAMN.
So yesterday was a slow opening shift for me as an AM. Things were going pretty smoothly. It was just me in the store with two drivers.
Later that afternoon an old man walks in. He mentions he saw a “$7.99 two topping carryout” deal on TV, and requested I give it to him. I immediately assumed he was referring to the “Weeklong Carryout” special in the system, which started off any large pizza at $7.99 (not including toppings or tax).
Our store is a franchise, so prices differ everywhere.
I’m not sure where he got the two topping part from, because when I add two toppings in the system using that specific coupon, the price increases to about $11 with tax. Without toppings, here it’s $8.55.
He gets visibly aggravated about the difference, and immediately goes on a rant about what he saw on TV, and that it “should be $7.99.” He also mentioned that he came to this store before, and another manager gave him the coupon without any difficulties. I asked him to describe him to me, and I believe he was talking about my GM.
I try my best to politely explain to him why the price is different from the one on TV, and that I can’t control how the prices show up here. I literally turn the computer screen around, and show him how the prices increase when you add toppings to the pizza.
He keeps cutting me off and mentioning how this is a scam, and angrily demands to see the manager. I was the only manager in the store at that time, and he simply wouldn’t listen.
So I call my GM on the phone, explain the situation, and he says he has no recollection of ever giving that man a coupon for a lower price. One of my drivers decides to deal with him, because I was starting to get other orders on the makeline that were waiting. He didn’t listen to him either.
Maybe I’m going crazy or something. Does the weeklong carryout work differently depending on the store?
My Creation

Next boost week?
I was told the next boost week was June 1-7? If so that fucking sucks ass because my birthday is June 2 and it was literally during boost week last year too! I agreed to work on my birthday (Tuesday) but IDGAF if its boost week or not I'm taking my regularly scheduled Wednesday & Thursday off and going on a mini vacation!
Oh... shit...You're being deadass serious😬😬😬
So I'm working last night (Monday) and it is slow as all hell.
I'm a driver but I hear a customer walk into the store and I wasn't currently doing anything... Cuz there wasn't really anything to do, so I walk up to the counter to help him.
So I walk up to the counter and greet him, I asked him if he already has an order in or if he needs to place one.
This is pretty much how the entire conversation goes.
Hi there... Welcome in, do you already have an order in with us or do you need to put one in?
(With a smirk on his face) I'm here to pick up the order for 50 large pizzas.
(I sort of give the customer service laugh)
Well I hate to say it sir... But you either got the wrong Domino's or the wrong pizza place.
(He kind of gives me a blank stare)
(I wait a moment before speaking)
All joking aside sir... Do you actually have an order in or do you need to place one?
(He repeats in a more serious tone)
I'm here to pick up the order for the 50 large pizzas.
(At this point I'm giving him the blank stare)
It should be 10 pepperoni, 10 cheese, 10 ham and pineapple, 10 sausage, and 10 white pizzas with Alfredo sauce.
(We sort of stand there staring at each other)
Oh.... shit.... You're being deadass serious... Listen sir... I hate to say it, but we legitimately don't have that order.
What the hell do you mean you don't have it?
Just what I said sir, we do not have that order, did you order online or over the phone?
I ordered over the phone.
Did you speak to the call center or did you speak to the actual store?
I called up at about 11:30 this morning and spoke to the store manager, the order was supposed to be ready for me at 7:00 to pick up.
At this point my manager who had opened that day step forward and told this guy that he had been the only manager there all day and that he had never spoken to him.
This guy finally holds out his phone and does the classic "this is you guys... Right?"
I take a look at the number and immediately recognize it as one of our sister stores about 15 minutes away.
So I tell him, no sir... That's not us, that's one of our sister stores at "this location" about 15 minutes from here, they probably have your order ready for you to pick up.
THIS MOTHERFUCKER...
Well can I just cancel the order with them and have you guys make it, I don't really want to drive all the way out of my way to get it and then back to my house, that's quite a ways out of my way.
DUDE.... No... ABSOLUTELY NOT... For one you can't just expect us to drop everything and make 50 pizzas on the fly with no warning, and second of all you can't expect another store to just throw 50 pizzas in the garbage, you need to go over there and pick up your food. Not to mention the fact that it would take us longer to get those made for you than it would for you to just go pick them up from the other store.
He ended up storming out cussing under his breath, I don't know if it was because I didn't give him the answer he wanted or if he was just mad at himself.
WHAT THE FUCK PEOPLE?
How does the pizza insurance work?
Funny thing happened last Friday. Placed my order for my pizza just like I do every Friday night for the last 6 months. Roughly 5 mins before I get my delivery, I get an email saying We let you down have a 2 topping pizza within the next 7 days. Then 5 or so mins later my driver shows up with my pizza. When I opened the box, the pizza was oblong barely fitting in the box so the cut was way off no 2 slices were the same side. Did Domino's send me a bad pizza and coupon instead of remaking it correctly. When I called the store I was told nobody knows who or why the email was sent. Just strange I received the coupon before the pizza never even called anybody about the pizza till I talked to the night shift mgr. The wait time from when I placed the order to when it was delivered was about 40 min which I think is reasonable so no issue there. Anybody know how or why they send out the coupons?
😞
We are down to GM and one AM. We have three CSRs but they are all still in school so they can’t help out till later on in the day. We have been getting giant timed orders right at opening until sometimes 2 or 3 in the afternoon. That doesn’t count the lunch rush that begins at 11. My AM is working six days a week and has been since the GM went on the Vegas trip for a week. She is currently pregnant and doesn’t have time to sit for five mins to eat. She’s in pain constantly you can tell. We did have two AMs but one left for another job and told the higher ups a month beforehand. The GM worked two days and got the first off day of the week then called in for the rest of the week for being sick. At what point does a pregnant person get a break? The stress and the workload seems to be a lot. I worry for her.
First time getting loaded tots. Do they regularly look like this?
Pathetic little wing! Smaller than my pinky
I am a driver btw and on my last post I did say that the wings are sometimes smaller than my pinky XD
Morning
2 week overproofed dough in the back, I was put on task to clean it up. Not sure how it went unchecked for so long or the SMs/GM were looking for an unlucky insider to take on the job. We decided it’d be better to do it outside because it was already making the back smell horrible, but little did me and the SM on schedule know it was windy as heck today. The entire stack fell right on top of me. It stung, but the stench stung harder. There was spilled dough everywhere. Think of a thick peanut butter smoothie with the smell of really sweet bread. Now after I threw the dough in multiple trash bags I took it to the garbage and that’s when it leaked a large portion of dough, which fell on my back, pants and shoes. And unfortuately the waste containers were full so there was nowhere to really put the trash bags except the ground, otherwise I’d risk throwing them overhead. Took the trays in and took a customer phone call.
I need to take an hour to get myself cleaned up.
