"We're gonna document this on workday, just in case."

So, I guess, employees can just get punished for shit the customers say with no other employees to witness, monitor, or investigate the reported situation. Neat.

For context: I worked night shift for a couple nights on my own. Our store is in a really not great part of town, there's a couple motels down the road that house crackheads and other people who really aren't the best of modern society. Seems like every other week someone's getting murdered in them, just to name a few from this long list of ill doings.

I'm still somewhat new to the company but this isn't my first job, not by a long shot. I know my shit, and this ain't my first rodeo. Even been told by staff to "not be afraid to stand my ground" and all that jazz. I know the sales policy like the palm of my hand, even have a list with me on the register.

Plenty of times I've had customers come in and try to get free shit, or try to trick me into ringing them up for shit they didn't pay for... the list goes on. Scumbag behavior. Again: I'm completely professional about this. I "stand my ground", stern, but not "mean", and I get them on their way as soon as I can so I can get back to doing what I need to do.

Fast forward a couple days, I work a 2nd shift. Manager's there. Sweet! She tells me she needs to talk to me for a minute. Okay, no problem.

"So... I've had a couple customers claim that you were being racist to them sometime during the couple of night shifts you worked."

... I'm fucking sorry what?

"I mean- I don't know if you were or not, because I wasn't there to see it, and out of the entire time I've watched over your work, you've not shown any signs of being racist-"

I then proceed to explain that the past couple of days I've been plagued with some extremely unsatisfactory customers, but I've dealt with them professionally. The whole "Stand my ground" and all that.

"I believe you, but we're going to have to put this in your workday as a warning. Don't worry though because this is just one of four-"

Seriously?

So... my time here at Circle K is a ticking time bomb. Great. Awesome. That's just super fucking duper. Even better I'm getting a derogatory mark on my record MY FIRST TWO MONTHS IN.

Guess I'm job hunting. Again. Especially since it's not getting thru to them that I don't wanna work night shift. YIPPEE!!!!

My favorite heist, too. >:(

At LEAST do the blimp escape. Sure it's bullet hell up there, but I don't wanna spend 30+ minutes exclusively moving bags. >:(

And yes, I dick around with the slot machines. Which is why it's one of my favorite heists.

Hit by a car while on my bike, coming home from my 1st day of work after 8 months unemployed. >:(

Title

Lost my job February due to illness. Did DoorDash until July, when my vehicle was ass-ended, hit and run. Insurance did fuck all about it.

Got a bike, been using it to scout around for potential means of employment. Two months later, FINALLY secure something. It's not great, but it's something.

Coming home from my first day of work, I get hit by a car. Can't recall the event because one moment I'm on my bike, and the next I'm in the hospital. Reports claim I'm "not at fault".

8 staples in my head. Left hand is immobile except my ring and pinkie fingers. Jaw hurts so bad I can't eat/chew. Left torso hurts with every move I make. Getting in/out of bed is a 10+ minute journey.

Attorney's been hired to look into it, and I really hope they can work something out for me.

Do drivers get tips that're provided on the website?

I always tip online whenever I order delivery but it never reflects on the receipt. I never carry cash, but I don't wanna be labeled as a non tipper. :(

Need throwables aside from pal spheres and grenades

Sometimes I don't wanna capture/kill pals or NPCs, I just want them to fuck off. Why can't we throw rocks and stuff like we throw pal spheres?

"Negotiator"? Bonk.
Syndicate patrols? Bonk.
Angy Rushoar? Bonk.
Predator pal? Bonk.
Zoe & Grizzbolt? Fuck it, bonk.
Pal not working hard enough? Bonk.
Angry PIDF agent come to tell you to quit bonking? Bonk - if you're quick.
Keith? Who the fuck is Keith? Who cares! Bonk!

If it sucks, throw a brick at it!

Hamburger & Chinese Takeaway locations

I was curious how many of them spawn in >!Dunkeltaler Forest!<every reset.

Why? Because I like collecting things. I'm gonna be a one man hamburger apocalypse, after all.

Points Redemption question

Hey team, so I'm trying to redeem a "Free medium 2 topping pizza", but I'm still coming up with a price of $1.50

Now, sure, $1.50 isn't that much but I currently have about $0.04 😬

Im guessing the mozz cheese is counted as a "topping" and I can only really just choose one? I'm confused.

Ignores my warning, rates me 1 star afterward :\

Stacked Chipotle delivery. The Chipotle I deliver for seems to have a quality control issue when it comes to sealing their burrito bowls and keeping their workstations clean. They made both orders 5 minutes late, leaking, and had set the bags on the wet prep counter so both bags had a really bad "soggy bottom". Had to carry them out hold them from below.

Delivered the first order to the customer, "hand it to me". I let them know, TWICE, that the bag was wet on the bottom and to hold it from the bottom. They initially do so, but as they walk back to their house, switch hands and grab it from the top.

Boom. Burrito bowls down.

Come home to find my THIRD one star rating posted on my ratings... You just can't win sometimes >:l

Order delivery? Be at the dropoff. Don't get mad if it's cold/eaten by your family 15+ minutes later.

Today I had to deliver to an apartment complex. No biggie. Requires a PIN code to complete, again, no biggie.

Knock on the door, kid answers the door. I ask if they know the code... they do not. Two more kids show up. They don't know the code. Next thing you know there's about 6 children out on the porch just doing whatever the goddamn hell kids do these days.

I'm desperately trying to contact the customer who ISN'T responding. Four text messages, three phone calls, third call gets manually ignored. Great.

Then, some frail old grandma appears at the doorway. I ask them where the customer is.

"Oh she's not here right now, she left to-"

.... When will she be back?

"Oh she's gone about fifteen... twenty minutes, maybe a bit longer."

Yeah, no, that's not gonna happen.

I end up just giving the food to the aforementioned frail old grandma and took the steps necessary to complete the order. The kids taking turns seeing who can scream the loudest got my tinnitus on full blast, so I'm trying to get out of there ASAP. Come to find out, you can bypass the PIN. Neat!

Complete the order, get into my car and enjoy the peace and quiet - minus my fucking ears ringing like a group of church bells after a royal wedding.

Fast forward about 15 minutes, I get absolutely BLASTED with text messages from the customer. Rough summary of what I could glance at were about how her food was eaten by the children and she didn't get any. Big fucking womp womp don't dawdle off when you got food coming, then?

I really hope they blocked me after that. Never again.

tl;dr: Customer orders food, requires PIN, fucks off somewhere instead of being at dropoff, and gets pissed at me when the residents of the household have eaten their order.

More poop than yard...

Just a heads up... if you order delivery and your yard is full of dog crap, I'm going to safety unassign. Be a responsible pet owner. Nasty.

There's a certain neighborhood I pass by on my delivery adventures that always had a vague smell of dog crap. I always assumed it was some sort of chemical application or fertilizer

Oh no.

I delivered to the culprit home (appeared to be a hoarder house, like 20+ dogs) and there was literally more fecal substance than there was grass and it smelled SO BAD. Like I'm pretty sure a couple months worth of my life span were violently ripped from my timeline. Worse yet, the customer was OUTSIDE waiting for me. I don't know why because it was a "leave at door" order so idk why they're outside...

Extremely awkward phone call to support while the customer was bombarding me with phone calls... The stench was so bad that I couldn't breathe.

Wild to me that people can live in conditions like that...

I've dealt with "minefield" yards before but this was "scorched earth" level. Euughh...

$14+/h ... but at what cost?

The Columbus, GA zone is a zone I seldom visit to enjoy the $14/$18 per hour benefits on EBT, and EBT is very often available here, unlike my more closer-to-home zones.

Here's the problem: Observe my beautifully crafted piece of artwork I've posted. The black pentagon highlights the "dense" area. Outside that area is either sparse or the literal sticks.

DoorDash, both EBT and EBO, are HOT GARBAGE when it comes to offers out there. Literally. You might as well put a bullet hole in your fuel tank and achieve pretty much the same result.

Late nights doing EBT is a suicide mission because all will be great getting constant orders that're within a reasonable range, and then BOOM - Hey some idiot stick out in Middle-Of-Goddamn-Nowhere Alabama wants their medium fries and frosty. Declining it just makes it come back because it's so obnoxiously bad that nobody will take it.

tl;dr DoorDash kinda sucks fr

Awful conversation I had with a customer...

Lemme set the scene. Late night, like 10:30 PM. Burger King order, no tip. Classy. It's close by so it's not too much of a throw to deliver it.

Deliver the food, take picture of food - iTs TiMe tO pLaY "SpInNiNg CiRcLe oF TiMe WaStInG!"

Great. Time to sit here like a Temu garden gnome and troubleshoot the issue.

Customer starts to exit their home. I start to apologize for having still been outside the home and I was just finishing up the picture taking process.

"You're not getting a tip."

... ??? Ma'am I'm just getting a picture to submit to DoorDash.

"Oh. I thought you were gonna ask for a tip. Everyone else does."

So now I'm painfully curious as to why they won't tip. I side-load the question to the customer.

"Well because DoorDashers aren't workers, they're not, like... they're not doing anything. They're sitting on their asses all day and expect to get paid for it. I mean, DoorDash is already paying them, is that not enough?"

The amount of things I wanted to say to this person... I didn't, cus I still need this gig to keep the credit card companies at bay.

Apologies in advance for any spelling/grammar mistakes, I've been up for 22 hours and have had 8 bottles of water, a cookie and a 2 month out-of-date granola bar.

This caught my eye while DoorDashing 15+ miles away from home :(

Couldn't get my donut on because my lugs are swollen and I couldn't find my custom socket I had for them >:l

Scariest trip home I've ever drove.

No idea why it'd be wearing so much on the left side like that though... old tire or do I have something more menacing I should be worried about?

"There was a problem processing your transaction."
"There was a problem processing your transaction."
"Insufficient funds." (I've got sufficient funds...)
"There was a problem processing your transaction."
"There was a problem processing your transaction."

...

And now THIS. >:l

Guess I'm getting something else for dinner.

I wish there was a way to see why you got a sub 5-star review.

Title

I got blasted with four 3-star ratings and I have not a clue why. I'm not TOO worried about it as I'm at 4.9 right now, but... I would like to know what "I did wrong" and how I could improve.

Of course the AI chatbot is not helpful at all. "Oh these ratings are anonymous-" bullshit. You'd think they'd be more than happy to tell me what I "did wrong" so I can improve and not do it again. I mean, every other place I've worked for does this... why not DoorDash?

Wildest delivery yet

Your eyes don't deceive you - this is a state prison lmfao

Was a "hand it to me" order, too. I was so, so confused.

Had a trooper help me out, but... Yeah. Never thought I'd ever deliver to a place like this...
