Do anyone have the dimensions for the factory optics cut on the Beretta 92?
I'm a hobby machinist and would like to make the modification myself, but haven't found the specs anywhere, not do I have an example I can pull measurements from.
One of the things I really like about the 92FS is the combination safety/decocker. I'm now looking at buying a new one, and the frame mounted controls really interest me. However, it looks like the frame mounted one is either a decocker or a safety, but not both.
Do anyone know if it can be converted to a combination decocker/safety like the original one had?
I'm heading somewhere at noon today where my car is supposed to be valet parked. However, I forget to grab one of the key cards, and don't have time to run home to grab one.
What are my options here?
I used to have a Beretta 92FS with the curved backstrap which I loved. No pistol has fit me better than that. I loved it.
I'm now looking to buy one again, and I see they have models with a straight backstrap. Unfortunately, the ideal mix of features I'm looking for comes on models with the straight backstrap.
I know there are replacement grips which can be installed the mimic the original curved shape, but do those actually do a good job? Or is it just a Band-Aid Beretta offered for people who liked the original shape?
