The greatest companion

My rescue diluted husky Milton is skittish, he was raised in a pack and never knew a kind human hand until he was about a year old. When I adopted him I was content having a pal for my other dog and we would work with him on his own time on trusting us.
Fast forward several weeks we make a move to live with my Gram who's suffering from Alzheimer's. She loves dogs, and he warmed right up to her. Would let her pet him, never cowered from her affection, and has even slept in her bed diligently. As of now she has days to hours left to live and my poor boy is beside himself, he waits until it can just be them and he lays by her hospital bed every night.
He is such a shining light, and I wanted to share with the internet that love conquers all. He chose her as his person and is the definition of loyalty. I wouldn't be able to shoulder the caregiving without my family obviously but our dogs have been right with me to shoulder any burden or pain we feel.
