Finally did it

Finally did it

First mainline game in 10 years, first romhack I've ever played. What an incredible way to come back to the series, Unbound is massive and has so many features that really elevate the core experience. It just felt like everything I would have wished for in a Pokemon game as a kid.

Almost gave up on Expert a few times but feel great about seeing it through, super fun challenge and really got me to understand team building on a much higher level through the second half of the game. Appreciate all the people on this sub who have posted advice for the hardest fights over the years (and also Serperior for sweeping half of the elite 4 by himself). Very excited to grab some legendaries and dive into the battle frontier now.

Our striker problem is worse than you think

As usual we were unable to get anything useful out of our #9s today. It feels like this has been the case in every big match I can remember so decided to go back and look at the stats. During Slot's time here we've now played 16 PL matches against the rest of the traditional big clubs (Spurs got kicked out sorry).

In those 16 matches our starting strikers have scored ONE goal. Luis Diaz vs Arsenal last spring after the title was already wrapped up. This is ludicrous.

There's been a lot of criticism of Isak and Gakpo (some of which is justified) but Ekitike despite his better form has also been completely unable to get involved in big matches and last season we were overly reliant on Salah to create our offense. There is a huge structural problem here that is much bigger than any individual.
