Polycarbonate Tea Lights

Polycarbonate Tea Lights

Anyone have experience with polycarbonate tea light holders? Got these on Amazon and they seem to do well with the heat. I recently had a glass jar explode on me while burning and I'm so hesitant to use glass now. I've tried tins but DANG they get hot and have left marks on my wood surfaces??

Eye Boogers

Rowan constantly has eye boogers. They seem to have gotten worse since spring really kicked in this month. Allergies? Not my first dog, but yes my first Rottie and I want to know if this is a breed thing (which is what I've been it is told by another owner) or if I need to ask about it at his next vet appointment. Hmmm...

Baby Dahlia!

I went small with only 5 tubers in my raised beds, and gave them three times as much space compared to last year! I love it when they finally emerge and start to take shape!

Collars and Tags

I've finally found a way to collar and tag my goats that I feel comfortable with and I want to share! Plastic chain links from a seller on Etsy that I connect with the tiniest zip ties I could find, this way if they get stuck on something the zip tie will break. I know it works because I find the collars on the fences with the ties broken and the goats naked and happy running around the pen. The tags are also from an Etsy seller and I zip tie them to the chain links rather than use a metal ring. The tags are really quite durable and clean up great if they get cruddy. And if I need to grab a goat by the collar I just make sure I grab at the zip tie and hold that connection in my hand so it doesn't break with the force of my grab. It's rare I need to grab an unwilling goat with my setup but it's so handy for leading or getting them to the stand for hoof trims, etc. Happy to share the Etsy links if asked but I'm not sure it's allowed in post in this forum.

Goat Milk Lotion

I've been making this for several years and selling locally and on Etsy. I've got my own small herd of Nigerian Dwarves and use their milk in the lotion. Current scents available include Raspberry Jam and Cherry Almond! Unscented is always available for those with fragrance sensitivities. 💖

My shop is called Cluck and Crow Boutique and it's on sale right now!

This guy showed up in my garden next to my chicken coop almost two years ago. I'd always wanted guineas because we have a high tick population but thought they would roam off so I never invested in keets. From the very first night this guy walked into the chicken coop and he's never left since. Free ranges with the chickens every day. I can't believe it. I have no idea where he came from! No one in a ten mile radius has guineas. Maybe he was a drop off?? We named him Reggie and he's been a hoot. Crazy, crazy clown, chases our roosters constantly and protects the hens from them! Best watchdog ever!

Neuter Tattoo

My very happy boy was recently neutered and I was given the option to have him tattooed with a green line to easily display that he has been altered. I wasn't really sold on it until the tech told me it didn't have to be a line per se... So now my big scary guy has a heart tattoo! I LOVE IT!

Flehmen Response

When goats smell something weird or good they can do this funny thing where they scrunch up their noses. It's called a Flehmen Response and funnels scent to the roof of their mouth where they have a specialized organ to process pheromones! It looks so funny! Hank here is demonstrating this quite nicely. 😃
