Just got a 327k and I messed it up!!!

Edit/update: as mentioned below, I purchased the service manual and watched many videos on how to fix this issue. After reading the service manual for the 4th time from concert to cover, I figured it out. Needle positioning instructions as well as tuning the arc of the needle as instructed in the service manual did the trick.

I bought this beautiful 327k for $60. I bought it for it's zigzag ability but it won't zigzag after I took it apart to clean it (it doesn't look like it had ever been cleaned. I put it back together with only the left over part in pic 2. Everything works as it should, except the stitch width lever keeps popping back to zero. I took video of myself taking it apart and took pictures, but I apparently missed talking video/pictures of this part. My hand also blocked the view for the majority of the video 🤦🏽. I paid for a PDF of the service manual and searched the web extensively for a solution and I'm still haven't figured out the problem. Please help!?! I really want to get this thing assembled and start sewing. (I can't seem to add both photos and video)

Made these for my daughter last year

I modified the vogue pattern V1748 (picture 3) for my daughter. I added a waist band, changed the shape of the skirt, added pockets, and altered the pattern to fit her. The first picture was a trial run using cotton fabric I had lying around the house. The second picture is the dress she wore to her junior prom made from a cotton twill under layer and chiffon top layer. In modifying this pattern, I learned so much about pattern construction and am now able to visualize much better what a flat pattern should like as a garment and vice versa. This year she's headed to prom and had requested another dress. This time, I created a bodice block from her measurements and created my own pattern based on a description and inspo pictures of what she's looking for. I will for sure share those when it's done!
