Most units in this game have one or more answers for how to dispatch them with few casualties (aside from superior quality).

For hybrid infantry I just don't see it though. If I engage I get shot up, if I don't they walk up and I get shot up.

If they rally I get shot, if I chase them down and they rally my fast movers die.

I think the main issue is that unlike missile infantry the ai is happy to trade a charge for a volley and doesn't skirmish, which leads to catastrophic casualties compared to almost any other army composition simply

because I have no idea how to solve them.

Anti large hybrid infantry is especially bad because using slow infantry on the approach is brutal.
