I bought the Burnin’ Metal alto mouthpiece in 7 to go with it. That way there won’t be any limitations except my current skill. 🤣

In my other post, someone mentioned that it seemed pretty heavy for an alto. However, it seems to be around the same weight as my YAS-480 in the background. The ergonomics are very similar. I love having 2 altos and can certainly tell the difference in tone between the two. (At least while feeling its resonance as I play them). Honestly, to me the YAS-480 sounds a bit more full and “luxurious”. I’m not taking away from the session alto. I love the way it sounds as well and the way it plays.

She took advantage of Amazon Prime Day deal and got it for me. The problem is, my birthday is in 4 days! OMG, I can’t wait to open it.

This one is a 40 year old Vito from high school marching band days. It was never serviced and one of the posts on the lower stack keys broke off. I managed to resolder it. While I was at it, I replaced the pads with metal resonators.
