Apartment Search - Leads Appreciated 🫶

Hi all, looking to move to the city in the next few months for work.

I found this apartment (linked below) which I loved but it went off market. I’m looking for something similar, in price, square footage, one bed, etc. I like the idea of being in a subdivided house instead of a complex. Does anyone know of a similar place that’s on the market or will be soon? I’m obviously looking on sites on my own but feel units like this can be word of mouth.

Edit: Budget is max 1200/month, neighborhoods Lincoln Park, Bridgeport, Lakeview, Old Town, South Loop, Pilsen. Lincoln Park would be #1

Advice for coping with DV

I’m a young person in a high COL area. I’ve been unable to support myself since graduation but I have hope for future job prospects.

Ive been living at home to save, and my sibling has an intellectual disability and has started being violent. it used to be more on the tantrum side and it has been physical for a while now-twisting my arm behind my back and pounding fist on my back when I can’t escape, trapping me between a door and a wall, grabbing me randomly and scraping and squeezing me, kicking, etc. It is pretty random and can happen out of the blue. Just me being in the same area can be a trigger even if I’m not talking to them.

I am trying to move out asap but I have some strict parameters money wise and am also on the lookout for roommates. My parents are doing the best they can but they really don’t care how much of an impact this is having on me. I’m a super sensitive person so others can deal better but it honestly makes me anxious, lose sleep, and cry because of the stress and fear of what’s coming next and also guilt because I love my sibling and don’t know how much to hold them accountable since they’re so impaired.

Any tips on grounding, staying safe, etc.? I know I’m not alone.
