Best iPhone 17 case

Hey guys, wanted to know what you guys think is the best case for the iPhone 17? I’m looking to get one, and ideally I’d like something thin that looks good on the white iPhone 17 and has a nice texture, not the slippery sticky TPU that you get in most clear cases. Thanks!

What WAM do I need to transfer?

Hi guys, I wanna study CS next year and I was wondering (just in case) I don't make the 90 ATAR for the bachelors of adv computing, what WAM do I need to transfer from a bachelor of science majoring in CS into a bachelor of advanced CS? How do transfers work exactly?

Any input would be great thanks

Is the dedica not capable of light roast? [Delongi Dedica, Fellow Opus]

Hi guys, I have a dedica and a fellow opus, and I can make a really good dark roast espresso, but when it comes to light roast the dedica really struggles.

I grind until I don't taste sourness, or bitterness, I make sure that the shot is evenly extracted (thorough WDT and at least from the bottom it looks to be coming out pretty evenly). Since my basket is for 16g I use a slightly longer ratio since 1:2 just wasn't working at all, and I do about 1:2.4.

Despite all of this the shot still comes out kinda muddy and while not obviously bitter or sour, still bad, is there any way I can get a better shot, is it me or is the dedica just going to struggle with light roasts no matter what?

Any help would be great, thanks!

Second guessing studying CS

Hi everyone, I'm about to graduate year 12 and I've wanted to study CS for the longest time, since around 5 years ago, I decided that's what I wanna do. I like math and I also like programming, I've got a couple projects and I take CS as a subject and right now I'm doing pretty good in it.

But with the usual talk of how terrible the market is along with almost everyone saying that finding a job is basically impossible, and how AI is basically going to replace any junior level jobs left, I'm seriously reconsidering. I could do law or commerce as an alternative, but with all the conflicting information out there I'm lost. I'd probably go to unsw or usyd, and try to find work in Sydney.

Does anyone have any experience as a new grad in Sydney or adjacent, and is it really as bad as they say? What are your opinions on the viability of a CS degree right now? Any advice would be great, thanks

can't decide what uni to put at no 1 preference (Sydney)

Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply to computer science at unsw or BAC at USYD, and there's so much conflicting + biased information out there so I was hoping to get some more objective answers here. (I know the CS market sucks right now, I know Australia isn't the best place in the world for a CS degree, please don't make begrudging comments if you don't have anything to contribute, thanks)

I care a lot about uni life and also about life after graduation, I have an okay backround in CS (I'm in year 12 right now doing IB and I have a 7 in CS and Math, and I have a decent grasp on java OOP and python/flask if any of that is important). I've seen tons of people call USYD CS a joke, and then other people say UNSW CS is terrible, I get that's biased but at the same time it makes it kinda hard to pick. Any advice would be super helpful, thanks!

How's UNSW computer science?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to choose mainly between UNSW and Usyd as my no 1 preference for Computer Science. I have a decent background in programming and the theory, I'm at a 7 in IB CS, and I have a decent grasp on stuff like java OOP and python/flask.

From what I can tell UNSW is apparently the best in the country for computer science, but then at the same time there's plenty of people saying UNSW and Usyd are basically the same, but I also noticed usyd has an atar req of 90 while UNSW 96 and 93?

I know the job market really sucks and personal projects and internships are probably more important than what uni you go to but I'm sure there's still some difference, and I think UNSW might be a bit better. I also read it's more "practical" in a sense, but can't seem to find much info on how. Uni life is also a pretty important factor for me, stuff like social life and making friends, since I'll be moving from overseas (Singapore) to Sydney, I am a domestic student tho.

Any general opinions or information would be super helpful, thanks!

Is Usyd Computing really that bad?

After reading about Usyd Computing, and I've seen so many people say it's absolutely terrible. I'm graduating this year and I make the atar for both usyd and UNSW, and I can't for the life of me decide what to put as my first choice. I don't care that much about having terrible classes, rather more about employ-ability after graduation and life in general living at the uni.

If anyone had any good insight that would be super helpful, thanks
