Point Lookout's Questline Is Weird

I'm doing another TTW playthrough and just finished Point Lookout. I'm not sure why, but this go around it really dawned on me that you really have no reason at all to be doing anything there

>Go to the big manor

>A ghoul is mean to you

>Help him anyway

>Join a fruit cult

>Continue helping the ghoul or help a brain you talked to once

>Ghoul House blows up

>Kill the ghoul or the funny brain man

It feels like it's lacking a real hook or reason that you'd be doing any of it in the first place. I mean, none of the characters even like you, the reward isn't specified and you end up receiving very little for your efforts

The main questline feels like it could be condensed into a side quest that cuts the tribals out completely. The best part of the DLC, in my opinion, is the Dunwich side quest. I think the DLC would've been far more compelling if the main quest revolved around Obadiah Blackhall and his connection to the occult rather than a feud between a ghoul and a brain that ultimately has no far reaching effect, clear motive for the player, or world building. The entire tribal arc would've still worked and honestly been more interesting if they were followers of Obadiah

Just my unsolicited opinion after freshly finishing it again. Still think it's better than Operation Anchorage, on par with Zeta, but the weakest in terms of a plot hook that gives the player a clear motive behind what they're doing

Thoughts From A Former CO

I was reminiscing on my completely awful and wasted time as a corrections officer, I quit after seeing enough people get out and come right on back a month later. I wanted to share my thoughts on how we might be able to address the issue of recidivism that we have:

First, prison work programs:

Have a limited number of businesses in the area able to get accredited for prison work programs to allow inmates to develop a skill. These businesses must be inspected monthly to ensure they are not abusing the system. Allow minimum wage to be paid, however the first $15,000 earned every year is tax free income. Accredited businesses must be able to provide an apprenticeship that leads to an industry certification and limited on the number of inmates they're allowed to hire at a time. They shall face fines for not complying with the accreditation program guidelines. This allows inmates to leave with a marketable skill and a resumé.

This program would be voluntary and able to be quit at any time. While this does allow a degree of exploitation, many inmates would relish the opportunity to leave the institution for any amount of time as well as some capital to reestablish themselves.

Education:

All prisons offer a GED program and study time for an industry certification, such as CompTIA. Each level of education and industry certification reduces sentence, so long as the certification being earned is relevant to a career path chosen by the inmate. Continued work with an accredited business earns credit towards a reduced sentence.

Public Assistance:

Inmates automatically receive section 8 housing assistance and food stamps upon release, allowing for better opportunity to establish themselves upon leaving. Inmates must secure employment within the first 2 months to remain eligible unless otherwise proven to be making an honest and good faith effort to find employment and have the ability to work

First offense:

Upon serving time, the first non violent offense should be expunged to offer a real chance at reintegrating into society. Reoffense resulting in incarceration causes the first offense to be reinstated.

I'm sure there's plenty of holes to get punched in this, but it's what makes sense to me! Locking up people who ended up there due to lack of opportunity and sending them out with less is a big reason for recidivism. While there are plenty of people who will never be able to stay out of prison, many simply made mistakes and fell in with the wrong people.

So, where am I wrong in this?

Forgot to add, Section 8 and Food Stamps for 6 months after release

Lost Judgement: Am I Missing Something or is Boxer Style Completely Cracked

I'm still missing some of the skills (Thanks school story progression block) but even without any, boxer style feels like it clears everything else by a wide margin

Your EX gauge charge is ridiculous, the attacks are fast with built in skills to stop enemies from attacking, built in block break without needing a grab or charge up, boosted quickstep that keeps you in attack range, no combo end lag or stand up time, stun and agony with no EX gauge usage, mortal reversal that chunks the enemy health bar, EX Boost makes you punch like a machine gun with auto block... Boxer plays like you have a quick answer to anything

I don't see any reason to touch another stance aside from Crane for a fight opener against a mob (Unless you're trying to farm SP)

Do I need to put the pipe down or am I correct in my assessment that putting everything into boxer is the obvious choice? I bought the cheapest skills from the other stances for the health upgrades then stopped there.

Am I missing out on a stronger kit or is Boxer really just overpowered?

Fried Rice: Where Am I Going Wrong?

I love fried rice! Unfortunately, I have never been able to get it right! This is the procedure I follow:

>Rinse and cook the rice using the 2:1 water to rice ratio. White rice always comes out nice and fluffy

>Wait for the pot to cool and place in the refrigerator to chill overnight, stirring occasionally

>Cook the eggs, sautee the veggies, cook the protein, remove and set aside. Add 3-4 tablespoons of canola oil and add the 3 cups of chilled rice

Then it seems like it never fries! The color barely changes and I make dry, greasy rice instead. I've tried with fresh hot rice in the past and successfully made hot rice mash. Can anyone identify where I'm going left instead of right? All the videos I've watched make it look so simple, I'm feeling like a complete dunderhead

I'd be so grateful for guidance on where I'm going wrong!

Question Regarding Interior Hatch Panels

I'm having trouble with my rear view camera, I wanted to get in and check the connection/replace the unit before taking it in.

I don't see any obvious screws that would be holding it in except for potentially image 2, is this as simple as popping them off with a trim puller?

It's a 2022

Could I Get Some Assistance With Modmail Automator, Please?

Evening all!

I was hoping that someone that's smart on Modmail Automator would be able to spare a second for me and see what I'm doing wrong here:

https://imgur.com/a/rrTHHlC

I am trying to get it to auto reply to Shadow banned and low karma accounts as well as auto archive the auto mod. I have the automod set up to send transcripts of submitted posts to modmail and I'd like them to get archived automatically so they aren't clogging up the inbox

Thanks!

I could really use some advice on the best way to get this done

So my car's AC drain plug is in the most nonsense spot imaginable, under the vehicle, and above the heat shield that's blocked by the drive shaft

Of course, it's clogged and fishing a coat hanger in there only fixed it temporarily

I made a crude drawing of the setup I need. Trigger where I can reach it, output facing upwards so I can get it into the drain plug and shoot air up there

Any tips on how to accomplish this? Modular attachments? Duct tape and bubble gum? The shop wanted to drop the drive shaft and exhaust to get to it. There's got to be another way to get at it
