I will be incredibly thankful if anybody can fix this. I have been editing a massive project for quite a while, and I have realized at the eleventh hour that I've a huge mistake. I have been editing source footage that is in 5.1 surround sound. However, when I imported into into premiere, it automatically split the audio into 6 mono tracks. Just so keep my timeline tidy, I nested the audio into a new sequence so it would take up less space and edited that. I did this for each file with 5.1 audio. My master sequence is in stereo, for reference. Fast forward to now, I realized (a few days out from my deadline) that all of those nested sequences are in mono, not stereo. All the work I've done in my master sequence is with mono clips. I have no idea how to switch out the mono clips with stereo ones without losing all the work I've done. I already tried creating new sequences with the audio in stereo instead of mono, and using shift + alt + drag to replace the individual clips on my timeline one by one. That doesn't work because even after switching the sound out, mono is still baked into each clip. I am royally screwed if I cannot figure out how to fix this, so if anyone has any ideas, please help!

T.L.D.R. I need to find a way to swap out a nested sequences with mono audio for a nested sequence with stereo audio (or 5.1 audio) in my timeline without having to re-edit everything.

It happens very rarely, but every now and again you can see some blood in Doctor Who. I was wondering exactly how many times it has happened?
