We're planning to get married just south of Birmingham and my partner is desperate for a violinist who can play Halo, Legend of Zelda etc.

In the UK we've had a week of too hot to do anything, and now we've got a week of respite before it's too hot again.
Has anyone got some ideas of things to keep in the fridge to just throw on a plate? I'm more of a plan specific meals kind of person but it's been too hot to shop or think.
I'm assuming carrot, cucumber, pepper, cottage cheese, egg but has anyone got anything more exciting than that? Even if it's ideas of flavourings and sauces to put on it?
