Heat wave day Four: The finale

Heat wave day Four: The finale

A few days ago it was 101°, and I declared leather straps officially canceled.

Then it was 95°, which somehow felt like a cold front.

Now it’s 88° on our last day in New York, and I’ve convinced myself this is practically spring weather.

Funny how quickly your standards change.

This concludes my scientific study proving that watch collectors will justify absolutely anything if they want to wear a particular watch.

Heat wave day three: It’s only 95° today… basically sweater weather.

A couple of days ago I declared it was too hot for leather because it was 101°.

Today it’s only 95°.

So naturally, I concluded we’re in the middle of a cold snap and put leather back on. Again.

Science may disagree, but my watch box doesn’t.

Summer wins. The watch wins. I lose.

Be honest… who’s still wearing leather in 95° weather?

Heat wave day 2: I’m here to publicly apologize for yesterday’s anti-leather stance.

Yesterday I confidently announced it was too hot to wear leather straps.
Then I looked at this Maurice Lacroix this morning.

Turns out I don’t make the rules… the watch does.

Anyone else’s watch collection completely ignores the promises you made yesterday?

Too hot to wear a leather band. Wrist check: Heat wave edition

Too hot in Philly for leather straps, so my options were pretty limited today.

The only watch in my collection on a metal bracelet is this Tudor Glamour Double Date.

No complaints, though.

Anyone else switch to bracelets every summer?

Love when people say - never seen this before

Stopped by Bucherer today with my friend James, wearing my Tudor Glamour Double Date.

The sales manager looked down at my wrist, paused for a second, and said, “I’ve never seen one of these before.”

Coming from someone who handles watches all day, I took that as a compliment.

I wanted something different. The big date, small seconds, and champagne dial just spoke to me, - it’s nice wearing a Tudor that isn’t the one everyone expects.
