When I was a kid, I would imagine the Technic Dude was a genetic experiment created by an ancient race.
Their goal was to create the perfect minifig, but there was an unexpected growth side effect, which resulted in Technic Dude being shunned and feared by the very people who created him.
After roaming the earth in complete isolation for a very long time, he formed an uneasy alliance with a community of nomad minifigs. While they still feared him, they knew he was the only one who could stop giant robots, monsters and other cool shit.
Technic Dude had a difficult life. I hope someday he can find peace and happiness.
