Cannot get lower alternator bolt to seat (2013 Toyota Corolla)

I replaced the alternator in a Toyota, everything appears to be back in place, but I cannot for the life of me get the bottom bolt to go all the way in. It feels like it’s not catching the threads. I thought about tapping it deeper with a hammer, but didn’t want to damage the threads. Any tips?

2013 Corolla battery light came on, lost electric power

Like the title says, the battery light came on and the car slowly lost electric power. I’ve added a picture of the battery, should I clean/replace it, or have the alternator checked?

Truck driver who killed pedestrian in January given no jail time

The guy who was driving the dump truck that hit and killed Donald Jacuik in January evidently took a plea deal, and was given no jail time, and no fine.
