Buying an engagement ring - where to start (UK)?

I would like to propose to my girlfriend.
I would like to do this by the end of July this year. Tight time frame, maybe?
Budget, max £4,000.
I want to go with a lab diamond. I was suggested a website via co-worker called Lily Arkwright. I assume solely because they have a store not far from an office in Paddington we sometimes get sent to.

- How're the prices?
- Online stores / physical shop suggestions? I live in Gloucestershire and I'm happy to travel
- I visited a Glodsmiths over the weekend just to understand carat size and 2 didn't seem particularly big but they had no 3 in to show me. I'm assuming it's not outlandish
- Time frame OK?
The above styles are in the ball park of what she has pointed out in the past.
