Riekling medicine
Riekling Medicine (Fan Fiction)
Background
In the year 203 of the Fourth Era, an Altmer herbalist visited a Riekling tribe and recorded their traditional home remedies.
Maeglin's List
- Diarrhea:
Dried berries mixed with honey.
- Battle Wounds:
Mead used as a sedative to ease pain.
- Headache:
They fastened a band decorated with boar tusks around the patient's head while the shaman made them drink salt water. (The salt was obtained through trade.)
- Stomach Ache:
Honey.
"I suspect the Rieklings digest their food slowly, perhaps due to their diet rich in fat and dried meat, though I cannot say for certain."
— Maeglin
The Tribe's Daily Diet
Tatabro meat
Mead
Horker eyes
Berries
Dried fish
Curiously, before setting out on a raid or going into battle, the Rieklings did not eat. Instead, they drank a thick brew resembling a shake, made from rendered horker fat.
