Job Title: Freight Dispatcher

Compensation Pay Rate: 5% Commission on the gross revenue of every successfully dispatched and delivered load.(Example: For a \$2,000 load, your commission is \$100. Earning potential scales directly with your networking and negotiation skills).
Position Summary We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Freight Dispatcher to manage logistics, source profitable loads, and coordinate with our truck drivers. You will act as the primary liaison between brokers, shippers, and drivers to ensure cargo is transported safely, legally, and on schedule. Your ability to negotiate top rates and maintain clear communication will directly impact your earnings.
Key Responsibilities • Load Sourcing: Utilize load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop) to find and book high-paying freight.
• Rate Negotiation: Negotiate the best possible rate-per-mile and terms with freight brokers and shippers.
• Driver Coordination: Dispatch drivers efficiently, providing clear pickup/delivery instructions, route details, and schedule adjustments.
• Communication: Maintain constant contact with drivers and clients to monitor shipment progress, manage delays, and provide status updates.
• Compliance & Paperwork: Ensure drivers comply with all HOS (Hours of Service) and DOT regulations. Verify and process all required shipping documents (Rate Cons, BOLs, Lumper receipts).
Qualifications & Skills • Proven experience as a freight dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or similar role.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Familiarity with load boards and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent geographical knowledge.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and multitask.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Supply Chain/Logistics is a plus.
