Day 3
Just met my counsellor. To stay accountable i will record my spending everyday. I just realised that I cant do it alone, I need external force, someone to work with me. It was uncomfortable but at least I muster my courage to reach out to someone to help me. I am more hopefully that this time i can quit for good.
Things are hard but getting better
My jobs are getting better, business is doing better. Without gambling/ trading things become more certain. I should be able to repay my debt in 2 months time. I am also meeting counsellor on monday. I think the first few days are hard, i still feel painful from time to time, but it gets easier over time. Believe me, your luck will come back in other form, gambling will never give you certainty. Even if you win some days you will lose the money back. But earning through income and business is certain, it is slow, boring but certain. Some may think that they cannot grind, but this is how we become a man with resilience.
if you are still thinking to stop trading/ gambling
I have been trading and gambling from 2018 till today. Lifetime loss around 190-200k. It is a painful journey, from time to time i stop for months and relapse. I counted how many times i relapse, it is actually 7 times, from 2018, each time last for 1-2 months until i gave up. I am sicked of this already. Countless sleepless night, lack of motivation, lies to people and pretending to be ok.
The lucky part is I know myself enough to let my parents handle the large part of my networth currently (70-80%), so each time when i lose i will not lose everything, but i still do cash advance from credit card and need to repay them slowly.
Right now I think I have found closure to this, I do not want to do this anymore. I am an intelligent person who is good at math, I never score even a B for math since young, always A. There is literally no chance to recover my loss through trading/ gambling. I want to stop lying to myself.
Currently i do have 7k+ credit card debt, I won touch the money with my parents as that is something untouchable. it is ok, i will repay it slowly over the year, and to serve as reminder that this is the consequence, luckily i still have some wisdom not to keep all money with me, I recently lost just 10-20% of my networth which is manageable but painful.
I strongly persuade people who are still thinking whether trading or gambling can win the money back, the answer is not possible. We are fighting with something that has literally no chance of recovering back our money and give away more and more money. It is contradicting and it is really stupid from hindsight.
Today I come to a realisation and closure that I wish to stop, not because I do not have assess to money right now, I can touch the money if i want to, but i am scared, i don want to suffer more and I really wish to stop. I am calm now, and I want to start a life without all these shits again, I would say this is very torturing and it makes people want to die from time to time, not literally go and die but passively hope i won wake up again.
Hey all here, especially the newbies, i sincerely hope you all stop, find any other kind of pleasure and entertainment, don touch gambling, trading and option. All these will lead to disaster. You will regret it for sure. For those who are in huge debt, i can only say good luck, I can somehow feel the hopelessness to recover and it is easy to say quit gambling but the problem is still there. I just wish to tell people who are not deep in water to stop now until you are in debt few hundred thousands.
Just want to discuss the problem of chasing losses
I can stay clean for 3-6 months, but once i started to gamble casually, say i lost 500, i will start to chase the loss aggressively, end up it turn into 3k, 5k, and 10k and i suddenly feel there is a need to stop. Can anyone suggest how to stay a bit more rational even if you relapse to minimize the damage, let say i can wake up after i lose 1k the damage is not so big. I really face this problem, i do not want to relapse but even if i relapse, i do not want the damage to be so big.
Is nano still alive
I have not seen any update from nano team on YouTube for past one year. Anyone knows if the project is dead or ongoing?
I think gambling or trading can really kill us mentally
I realised now even when I gamble or trade I don feel the fun, in fact I feel very frustrated chasing losses. I hope I will not go back to the same cycle again because everytime I relapse is due to chasing losses. But my mental health get affected serious because of this.
Nano is gaining momentum
Even though the price is still at 0.4ish, but after the platform pluang in Indonesia allows for spot trading, we can see the volume of trading is increasing.
Nano is rising
Guys nano will break 0.5 soon. My entry price is just close to 0.4 only.
Nano will hit $1 and above by end of this year. Mark my word.
reddit.comDay 1
I wanna restart again, say no to these 2 things, gambling and short term option. I really sit down and figure out these 2 will never make money in long term. There are other things that could possibly make back my losses like investing in stocks and crypto for long term, i am not saying trading but long term holding. I have seen people around me profit a lot from holding long term. I think that is the only way to recover my losses in a healthy and sustainable way. Because even if I get back the money through gambling I will lose it back, but if I use a correct strategy I will always win
i bought 5000 nano coins
is it realistic to aim for target price of $30 for long term, hopefully for this gain to recover my loss in trading and gambling.
Day 0
I am ashamed of myself at the same time I can only move forward and restart.
Lost around 2k on option trading - relapse
Feel very demotivated as i made the same mistake again, lifetime loss around 200k, it started with buying stocks, and stocks price start to decline and i sold the stocks and hope to use option to recover, yes ended up recover the loss and up 1k, but this leads me to more gambling and eventually lost the 1k gain and an extra of 2k. I am deeply disappointed in myself and really feel the pain especially emotional pain.
