I saw a bunch of mosquito torture videos on reddit the past couple weeks, people glorifying how its okay to make anything suffer just for the hell of it.

It doesnt matter that mosquitos can have diseases and cause deaths every year, they are not doing this out of malice and torturing them for something they are doing to survive is sadistic.

We are supposed to he above enjoying the suffering of things beneath of us, its unhinged how people talk in the comments of these videos.

Teddy Daniels / Andrew Laeddis - Shutter Island

Okay so just a quick summary for this tangled mess of a movie, two marshals go to a mental hospital on an island looking for a missing woman. When they get there the vibe is immediately off, weird looks from everyone, strange interactions, etc. after our MC Teddy does some interviewing and exploring around the hospital he learns about a mystery patient named Andrew Laeddis. Teddy does a lot more exploring and talking with folk, all the while experiencing hallucinations and having more strange interactions with the staff and patients. After losing his partner who seemingly fell off a lighthouse and died, Teddy makes his way to a cave on the shore of the island where he finds the missing woman, she claims that she was a doctor at the mental institution and that they are conducting experiments on the patients there.
Teddy goes back to the mental hospital asking about his partners whereabouts, to which hes told he came to the island alone. After an encounter with a doctor that tried to sedate teddy, he believes that his partner is being held and experimented on by the hospital. After this he stumbles around the island a bit more, having hallucinations and just generally losing his shit all the while. he goes back to the lighthouse there he finds the main doctor at the hospital who tells him his name is actual name is Andrew Laeddis and that everyone at the hospital has been roleplaying for his benefit in an attempt to get him to have a breakthrough and realize who he is, as he has had a full break from reality to protect himself from what he has done, which was killing his wife who drowned their three kids.

(Im leaving quite a few details out about the movie that further reinforce teddy actually being Andrew)

So in end the mental institution was the good guys, despite what we were led to believe up until the end of the movie. Some ppl online say that the hospital gaslighted him about it all, i think thats nonsense.

Ivy - The Village

So in this movie essentially there is a village that lives alone out in the middle of a forest, no one is able to leave this village because apparently there are monsters in the woods that will kill anyone who ventures out into them. We learn that this is a lie perpetuated by the elders of the village in order to keep the younger folk from leaving, as the elders left modern society to hide from their traumas and wanted to make a society of there own where they could be safe essentially.
Ivy discovers all of this only after she left the woods to find medicine for her love interest and gets someone killed who was dressed up like a monster.

Grace - The Others

So grace is a woman who lives with her kids and servants, whose husband is away at war. Pretty much what happens is it seems like the house is being haunted, strange happenings, doors and curtains being left open (which is important because the kids are photosensitive), a piano playing by itself, whispers, and her kids claiming that there are intruders in the house constantly. We also are led to believe that maybe her servants are up to something, they hide things from Grace and are shown to be keeping some secret from her that they think she cant handle. It all comes to a head after grace kicks her servants out and its revealed that they are ghosts, soon after grace finally sees the supposed intruders, a group of people and an old woman who is performing a seyeance and speaking to graces daughter. Its revealed that grace killed her kids then herself and that the haunting they were experiencing was actually a family trying to move in and they were haunting them.

Serie:
An elf from Frieren the anime, an ancient being who had collected magical tomes and grimoires her entire life. In the anime she is head of an organization for mages, she offers those who complete the first class mage certification a ‘wish’ or access to her knowledge of magic so they can learn any one spell they want. Serie does not openly share her knowledge with the people in her world, which makes her a great fit for this trope.

Senku:
From Dr. Stone, senku is a modern day highschooler who is essentially a super genuis with a photographic memory and an obsession with science. Senku, like everyone else in their world was turned to stone. Some thousands of years later senku emerges from the stone to find a primitive world with no technology. Throughout the show more and more people wake up with different skills and talents, but its made abundantly clear that only senku has the knowledge and know how to bring back the modern world from the stone age. Senku fits this trope because he has thousands of years worth of scientific advancement and human history stored in his brain, but he really cant just share everything he knows with someone. The show even jokes about that once when senku tells chrome hes going to teach him everything he knows in one night in case he dies, but he really cant do that because obviously its impossible.

Vlad Dracula Tepes:
Dracula from the anime Castlevania has been alive for a long long time, during his tenure on earth he built a library within his castle that contained information on modern medicines, sciences, and probably the histories of their world. Its shown that draculas castle is actually fairly modern for the medieval world it inhabits, having electrical lighting, lots of gizmos, machinery, and lots of other stuff im sure the show didnt touch on. (Im just referring to the dracula from the castlevania anime because ive never actually played castlevania and have no idea how faithful the show is to it)

Castlevania:

In the world of castlevania we learn in the first few episodes that dracula has a library of knowledge that has been learned and forgotten by the world who knows how many times. Dracula is the only character in the show to really have any knowledge of modern medicine or technology, but doesnt share it with the humans, except his wife, who is executed for being a witch because she is so knowledgeable with medicine.

Skyrim:

I dont know much on the lore for the dwemer in skyrim, but its clear that the dwarves were a very technologically advanced race that used steam punk esque tech that no one around in modern day skyrim understands or can replicate.

I like just got into this game, instantly fell in love with playing croc, the struggle, the loss and victories associated with it. I especially got into it once i discovered i could be black and yellow and have babies, so i could make a clutch of crocs that werent black or grey colored. Now theyve taken away a lot of the brighter colors for deino, back to bland grey and browns xc

Intro:

You and Ahsoka had trained under Anakin since the beginning of the clone wars, being Anakins padawan has been rigorous work and because of it Ahsoka and you have grown fairly close over the many years you spend together. After Ahsokas wrongful expulsion from the jedi order you stop seeing her nearly as much, but still stay in contact with her. Until one day she returns to the temple, changed.
