$400 million spent. Over $1.6 billion still to go. If the funding was really there, investors would already be lined up.

Does anyone remember the A’s claiming they spent over $100m on the Howard Terminal stadium project? Now they claim they’ve spent nearly $400m of the $2+ billion dollar project. Choose to believe who you want, but there’s a funding gap. FJF

MLB full blackout?

What would happen if baseball fans across the league organized a coordinated MLB blackout day to protest billionaire owners using communities as leverage?

No merch. No concessions. Empty seats. National attention.

Crazy idea… or long overdue?

For the “It’s time to move on gang”:

Move on? How about no.

I’m not going to quietly accept the destruction of a franchise that belonged in Oakland. The A’s belong in Oakland. This relocation was manufactured step by step by ownership and enabled by MLB leadership.

John Fisher gutted the roster, alienated the fanbase, neglected the Coliseum, and constantly shifted the goalposts. Then Rob Manfred and MLB turned around and blamed the fans for the consequences of ownership’s own decisions.

Oakland fans didn’t fail baseball. Baseball failed Oakland.

And accountability matters. Community matters. History matters. Generations of fans matter.

So no, we’re not “moving on.” Not while billionaires rewrite the narrative and try to pretend this was inevitable.

This matters.

Oakland needs to ACT!

Maybe when the world wakes up and realizes there’s reportedly still an over $1 BILLION funding gap tied to the Las Vegas stadium project, Oakland should already be ten steps ahead.

Aggressively pursue federal infrastructure grants NOW.
Build redevelopment momentum NOW.
Prepare the Coliseum area NOW.
Line up investors NOW.

Oakland fans and the city itself did not fail baseball. Ownership failed Oakland.

Oakland is a MAJOR LEAGUE CITY! ‼️

Reminder for everyone attending the A’s vs Giants games in Sacramento:

SHOW UP. BE LOUD. STAND TOGETHER.

This is bigger than baseball. Oakland fans deserved better than years of gutting the roster, broken promises, and a manufactured relocation.

Ideas for the game:
• Protest/gather outside before first pitch
• “SELL” shirts & Oakland flags
• Signs calling out Fisher and MLB
• Organized chants throughout the game
• 5th inning “SELL THE TEAM” chant
• Support local vendors & fan groups

The louder and more organized we are, the harder we are to ignore.

Oakland is a Major League city.
Don’t let them rewrite the story.

Let’s preserve the Battle of the Bay! 💚💛🧡🖤

Take action Oakland fans + Baseball fans!

Oakland fans, baseball fans, sports fans, enough is enough.

Call your representatives.
Email Oakland officials.
Flood MLB’s social media.
Keep writing letters.
Boycott the homeless Athletics.

Do not let this story quietly disappear while billionaires and MLB executives try to rewrite history. The Oakland community deserved better, and fans everywhere should be alarmed by what’s happening here.

Because when the Las Vegas stadium never gets finished, maybe then people will finally wake up and realize the real problem has been John Fisher and his incompetence all along.

A billion-dollar funding gap. Endless PR spin. Constantly moving goalposts.

Simply unserious business.

The OAKLAND A’s belong in Oakland. Take a stand.

If you truly support the idea of keeping the A’s rooted in community, history, and the fans who built this franchise, then you should want the team in Oakland.
Period.

You can support the players while still standing against the abandonment of the Coliseum, the fans, and the Oakland community that carried this franchise for generations. Supporting relocation as the “only option” ignores the years of failed ownership decisions, shifting demands, and manufactured narratives that got us here.

Oakland is a baseball town. The fans proved that over and over again. The question is whether people are willing to stand up for community-first sports, or continue accepting a system where billionaire owners can walk away from loyal cities without accountability.

The louder we get, the harder we are to ignore.

The proposed A’s stadium in Las Vegas is still not fully funded, and now is the time to make our voices heard.

This fight has never just been about one team. It’s about billionaire owners leveraging communities, public money, and fan loyalty while expecting silence in return. Fans across baseball should be paying attention.

We do not have to accept the status quo.

Stand up. Speak out. Demand accountability. NOW is our chance.

“I don’t know exactly what Oakland should do next, but I do know this: Having a presence in the national sports spotlight did more than draw attention; it created a shared experience and a shared language in Oakland. Without that, it’s hard to imagine being able to rebuild anything that comes close to what was lost.”

There’s truth in that.

Sports do create a shared language. They bring people together in a way not much else can. Losing that hurts, and it leaves a real gap.

But what happens next matters more than what was lost.

Because that sense of community wasn’t created by Major League Baseball, it was created by the people of Oakland. And that doesn’t disappear just because a team leaves.

So yeah, rebuilding won’t be easy. It shouldn’t be.

But it’s also not impossible, and it’s not someone else’s responsibility.

If we want that shared experience again, we have to create it.

If we want accountability, we have to demand it.

If we want a different outcome, we have to change the narrative ourselves.

Oakland’s identity isn’t gone. It’s just being tested.

We’re backing Matt Ortega for U.S House California District 14! ‼️

We’ve seen what happens when billionaires and powerful organizations, like Major League Baseball, operate without accountability. Communities get left behind.

Matt is about people first. That’s the kind of leadership we need right now. It’s missing greatly.

Let’s elect Matt.

What’s up y’all, your friendly A’s fan here. I know we don’t always see eye to eye, but I’m just asking for a quick moment of support.

There’s a letter writing campaign going on to keep pressure on MLB over what went down in Oakland. No matter where you stand, this situation sets a pretty bad precedent for fans everywhere.

They keep saying it’s a done deal… but the Vegas stadium still isn’t fully funded, and there’s still time to make noise.
If you’ve got a minute, it’d mean a lot if you could send a quick letter:

Even just sharing it helps.
Appreciate you 🤝

What’s up Giants fans,

A’s fan coming in peace. As you guys head to Sacramento to play us, I wanted to ask for your support in something bigger than the game.

We’re trying to keep attention on what’s happening with our team and push for accountability. If you’re going to the series, it would mean a lot if you joined in—wear a “SELL” shirt, bring a sign, or take part in a 5th inning “SELL THE TEAM” chant.

I get that stuff like this can sometimes feel repetitive or not your fight—but this is about keeping baseball rooted in its communities. That should matter to all fans.

Appreciate anyone willing to stand with us 🤝

Howard Terminal had nearly $1B in infrastructure lined up.

The Coliseum site sits next to BART, the A’s even called it key to staying in Oakland. (Hey Dave Kaval, go FUCK YOURSELF!!!)

They had multiple opportunities to invest in Oakland and the community, and failed to follow through.

Saying there were “no options” is complete bullshit. Never let this shit go! #SellTheTeam

May 15–17th is a real chance to make Oakland support visible. Doesn’t need to be complicated.

If you’re going:

• Bring a simple sign (Sell the Team / Oakland Deserves Better / etc.)

• Post ONE photo or video

• Use #SellTheTeam so it actually spreads

If you’ve got a “Sell” shirt, even better. If not, a Sharpie and poster board works.

If you’re not going in, even just being outside with a sign for a bit helps.

This isn’t about being perfect or organized, it’s just about being seen. Even a few sections doing this will stand out. Grassroots organizing is how we roll in The Town. Join us.
