Roof rack

I just got a 2024 RAV4 XLE. It doesn’t have a roof rack or a trailer hitch, two things my previous car did have. Do I need to have the roof rack installed at a Toyota dealership or is it something I can do myself? Also, I need a trailer hitch for my bike rack. I never tow anything but I do need my bike rack which fits in a 2 inch square hitch. Any suggestions on getting a hitch put on? Thanks

Stubborn stain in linen

I picked up a linen jacket at a thrift store. I failed to notice a stain on the left elbow area. Looks like someone leaned their arm in some coffee or tea. The dry cleaners could not remove it although they did lighten it some. Any suggestions on removing it? Thanks.

Crema vs Foam

I have a 6 cup Moka, a 2 cup Brikka and a Nespresso. The Nespresso produces something on the top that resembles the top and texture of a draft Guinness but the foam has no real flavor. I reload pods so I’ve tried many beans and grinds in the Nespresso. The topping’s appearance is why I bought the Nespresso thinking it was crema. Despite two trips to Italy, I’m not certain I’ve had authentic crema. Besides an expensive espresso machine, is there a home apparatus that produces crema? And how does authentic crema taste?

SCHD vs SPYD

SCHD seems to get a ton of recommendations in this sub. It’s the base of operations. SPYD has a higher projected yield. SPYD has lagged the S&P 500 more than SCHD has lagged but currently SPYD has 80 basis points higher yield. Thoughts?

Sometimes journaling is like photography

My photography improved when I realized I don’t have to save every photograph. I take the shot. I look at it. I improve the elements and take another photograph if needed. I compare and delete one.
My journaling has traveled the same path. Sometimes I start a page and make a few mistakes in spelling or wording or composition. I look at the total. If it doesn’t pass evaluation, I rip it out and start afresh. It’s not a page wasted. The first attempt is a sketch, a rough draft.
The process is more complicated if I didn’t start with a fresh page. Starting with a fresh page frequently leaves space for me to return to the entry later, sometimes years later. I rarely regret leaving space. Hey….it’s only paper, in a book, no one but me will probably read.
What do you think?
