Sometimes I really just want a soda, but it's hard to justify a soda for 79 cents when for an additional 71 cents, you can get a hot dog to eat, either then or later.

All the recommendations I'm seeing on this thread are for WiFi routers. Basically, I have an Eero system that I'm generally happy with, but I hate how they lock everything down. I can't change the MAC address, I can't set up an OpenVPN server, etc. So what I want is a decent wired router that will sit between my modem and the Eero system, which of course I will set to Access Point only/Bridge mode.
It doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to have the basic functionality that Eero is intentionally missing. If it has WiFi I won't be using it at all, so that's not a consideration.
