The Serpent (Bibliomania)
I’m already a big fan of snakes and showman-type characters, so this… thing already gets a high score with me, but holy Hell do I love everything about him. I really like how you can see the serpentine aspects of his design but also know that this thing is not right, it actually looks like if someone drew a serpent like all those skin and bones animals from All Yesterdays (look it up, it’s really cool)
Also Macchiro (the illustrator) did a really good job making it feel imposing and agile at the same time, showing it’s own dominion over the Book World up until the final arc of the story where it moves slower, to show it is not i full control of the real world
