Microphone issues with Pixel using two way talk on Google Nest camera and doorbell

I can barely hear the person using Pixel but iPhone user is loud and clear

We recently bought 3 Nest Cams and a doorbell for our house. I set everything up with Google Home.

When my wife uses Home on her iPhone to talk through the cameras or doorbell, it is loud and crystal clear on the receiving end.

However, when I use Home on my Pixel it is extremely quiet, like maybe 10-20 percent of the volume.

I've checked the audio settings in Home and they're all turned all the way up.

I know it's not a general microphone problem with my Pixel, because I don't have the issue when making phone calls or Teams calls. The issue is isolated to using the Home app. Oh and it also happens when using earbuds so another reason I know it's not the microphone on the phone itself.

I've rebooted my phone, checked every setting, searched Google, and can't find anything.

Any thoughts?
