I think I got my money's worth out of these
Lost the last two sessions of the day because I cheaped out. Before my third day with my CLS 550, I checked the brakes saw them at about 1X the backer thickness and bought replacement pads and rotors. But once I took the front wheels off, I figured they had at least a beginner's day at the track left. Figured wrong!
These had about 28K street miles on them when I bought the car. Then they lasted 3k more and about 200 minutes at Sonoma Raceway. Obviously underestimated what 4200 pounds would do to them. Should have taken some measurements.
I was just starting to hook things together with the help of my NASA instructor, but then the sensor light turned on along followed by a difficult to ignore sound and a slightly embarrassing ride home.
