Live food options?

Right now my betta are eating fluval bug bites, black worms, and occasional freeze dried blood worms as like a treat. Does anyone know of other live foods that are easy to care for/ acquire that they would recommend?

Stop buying petco betta

This has happened more than once to me. I get a betta fish and it does well for a few months then gets sick and dies all within a few days. I got fish from a separate petco before and they all lived much longer but all had genetic issues from inbreeding. I got my fish a few months back and all of a sudden the last 48 hours he has started dying out of nowhere. Water parameters were perfect and he was fine literally days ago. Does anyone know any reputable breeders or sources for fish? It may be a while before i get another since this has quite literally broken me, but if i do eventually i have learned my lesson from buying pet store fish. I am literally sobbing off and on uncontrollably so please kind words only.

Update: came home tonight and he is gone. I am absolutely shattered. I have never had anything like this happen to any of my fish and i am going to miss him so much.🤍🕊️
