I got a like new Cargo Sling on ShopGoodwill for $45

Y’all I won the shopgoodwill lottery.

I got a like new cargo sling in camo floral and 6 other VB items for $45 including shipping. A few are pretty beat up but I can’t argue with my total price.

I included the listing photos that lead me to believe this was a cargo sling.

I’m working on a guide to ShopGoodwill for collectors. I’ve gotten some great deals. What I don’t keep I sell at cost or lower depending on condition.

Did I score a Cargo Sling or am I delusional?

I think I might have found and won a cargo sling (top left) in a shop Goodwill bag bundle.

It peaked my attention due to front pockets and it looked bigger than a Libby but who knows.

What are y’all’s thoughts? I’ll report back once I have the bag and know the measurements.

Warning: Vinted US is Not For Resellers

I’ve seen a lot of confusion around what a reseller is an if they are allowed on Vinted. I’m just a user but I felt like this sub needed a guide.

Vinted terms of service explicitly ban commercial activity (ie selling for profit) except for special accounts not currently allowed in the US. It’s designed for people to essentially declutter and pass on things to other people.

If I buy a shirt for $10, wear it and sell it for $5 that is not reselling / commercial activity. I did not profit. If I buy a shirt for $10 and sell it for $20 then thats commercial activity in the eyes of Vinted.

There are clearly plenty of people selling as a business. Some are being banned. Others are not. Their detection isn’t perfect.

Vinted is not the platform to start a reselling business in the US. They do not allow businesses in the US yet. Even so the pro accounts seem to be pretty restrictive. Use Ebay, Depop, Poshmark, etc if you want to resell. Read the rules of the platform if you are serious about it.

For the record, I’ve sold 200+ items in two months (of my own stuff) including some NWT items I haven’t gotten a warning or a ban. I’ve listed up to 10 items in a day but my average sales price is like $3. I think Vinted is the best platform for people who just want things out of their house extremely quickly.

If you are just a person trying to clean out your house I think Vinted is a great platform. What they look for in commercial sellers is probably not going to apply to you.

I’m sure I’ve bought from resellers but I’m not really a snitch. I don’t really understand the policy and I don’t really agree with it. But again it’s against the policy and violating it is at your own risk. You might get away with it, but you might not and waste time listing and lose your shop.

Dog had 30+ minute seizure- Can’t decide how to proceed

My dog had probably her first seizure today. She is an approximately 4 year old rescue Shih Tzu and we have had her for a year.

She has had an infection and pain and my husband came home to my dog having a seizure. By the time they made it to the ER and the seizure was stopped at least 30 minutes had past and her temp was 107.

She has had multiple seizures today and is hospitalized. She is currently blind. They think it’s probably meningoencephalitis or idiopathic seizures. She is too unstable for general anesthesia and I don’t know if we can afford the diagnostics. So we are treating her for meningoencephalitis. We have spent $7k in the past month on this illness (hopefully pet insurance will pay some of it back).

We are continuing to hospitalize her overnight but I think we may have to consider euthanasia tomorrow if she doesn’t have substantial improvement. She is so young but I don’t know what to do. Our vet bills so far are a big hit to our savings even if we get the full $5k back from pet insurance.

We also have a two year old and I don’t know if we can care for a potentially permanently blind dog with a seizure disorder.

Does anyone have any success stories after a prolonged seizure? How do you know it’s time to let a young dog go?

Vinted Home Page

I’m curious how other people feel about the Vinted home page. I love it. It seems to be far more responsive to my searches and favorites than other platforms. I find a lot of my purchases on there. But as someone who sells I wonder if the feed or searches is driving my sales.

What to do with Extra Ground Advantage Supplies

I started cross posting and sold most of my closet. I have like 11 items left and only about 10 things to post. Just did a supply order before my sales stalled and I started crossposting. I have like 20 big boxes, 20 small boxes, and 100 big mailers (they delivered twice) and 15 small padded ones. What should I do with them? Drop them off at the post office?

Package going to HI Stuck in Denver?

I sold something to a person in HI. I know it takes forever with GA. I did sell before to HI and it took 4 weeks to deliver. I know it travels by boat. I shipped the package on the 10th and it’s been stuck in Denver, CO since the 15th. If it was stuck in SF or really any west coast port I would not be surprised. But it seems weird that it is sitting in Colorado. Has this happened to anyone else before?
