EnergyDock an Octopus inspired app for E.On and EDF

An Octopus inspired app for EDF and E.On .

EnergyDock is an unofficial companion app for EDF Energy and E.On Next customers — monitor and manage your Smart EV charging schedule and keep an eye on your usage, all on Android or iOS. Smart Charging tools are there if you're enrolled on a smart EV tariff, Usage tracking work just as well if you're not - especially with a Glow Display and CAD.

Features:

• Dashboard showing your charging status, next scheduled charge and charge target at a glance
• Customize your Dashboard — choose which cards are shown and drag to reorder them to match what matters to you
• View your planned smart charging sessions at a glance, grouped by date
• Track completed charging sessions with energy delivered (kWh) and estimated cost
• Filter your charging history by session type — smart charge, boost, or off-peak only
• Set your ready-by time and charge target percentage
• Start or stop a boost charge session instantly
• Suspend or resume smart charging with a single tap
• View your current electricity tariff rates with live off-peak and peak indicators
• Costs are worked out against the tariff that was in force on each date, so if you change tariff your older sessions keep their original rates
• See your household electricity use as Day, Week and Month charts, split by standard, off-peak and smart charging so you can see where your spend went
• Optionally connect a Glow Display and CAD to fill gaps in EDF's usage data, and to see live current from your meter over your home network
• Each completed session records the vehicle location reported by the supplier (At Home, Away) on every refresh — if the supplied change the location against a completed session, the full change history is captured with timestamps, giving you an audit trail for disputed charges
• Export your charging history as a PDF or CSV, including full account details, tariff information, and location history per session
• Back up your charging history to a file you keep, and restore it onto a new device or after a reinstall — restoring adds what's missing and never overwrites sessions already saved. Backups never contain your email address, password or session token
• Your charging history is stored on your device and persists across app launches — it can also be accessed directly through the Files app
• Your tariff and rates are kept on the device, so the app stays usable when the service is unavailable
• Automatic background refresh keeps your schedule up to date
• Your credentials are stored securely in your device's Keychain and never shared
• Designed for both iPhone and iPad and Android

Please note: EnergyDock is an independent, unofficial application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by EDF Energy or E.On Next. Glow Display and CAD support is optional and requires your own Glow Display and CAD.

SmartGo Charge for Android

Anyone on Android wanting to test the beta version send me a message in Reddit.

u/Baz1536 — 8 days ago

🎉 SmartGo Charge V2.0.0 is here — for iOS

A big one today — probably the biggest jump in functionality since launch.

🏠 Home Screen Widgets are finally here! Add Charge Target, Charge Sessions, and Transactions widgets straight to your Home Screen — live updates, and you can even adjust your charge target without opening the app.

☀️ Export tariff support — if you export electricity back to the grid (solar/battery on a SEG tariff), you can now track your export rates and earnings right alongside your import usage, in the Usage charts and breakdown table.

What's new:
• Charge Sessions widget — shows scheduled or completed sessions, your choice
• Interactive charge target control right on your Home Screen
• Export tariff tracking — rates, earnings and usage in one place
• Meter reading on the Dashboard when a Glow Display/CAD is connected
• Charge Target card now shows completed sessions when nothing's scheduled

💬 A word on sustainability

Building and maintaining SmartGo Charge takes real time and effort, and I've tried hard to keep it free. But it's grown into something bigger than I expected, and to keep it going — building new features, fixing bugs, keeping it reliable — I've had to introduce a small subscription. It wasn't a decision I took lightly, but it's what keeps this app alive and improving.

🤖 Android users, you're not forgotten! I've got a small group of testers putting the Android version through its paces right now — more to come soon.

Thank you for using SmartGo Charge, and for your understanding. There's plenty more to come. 🚗⚡
