Ideas for a new solo business that doesn't need to make a fortune?

Hello. I'm thinking about starting a small business on my own at some point. I currently work in a job that requires quite a lot of walking each day but I've developed balance issues in the past decade that can make me very wobbly, so it's a real struggle at times just to stay upright all day (I can walk and stand around etc but doing it non-stop for 9 hours is not great when I'm at my worst). I have pretty much no idea what I would do though. I do not need to make a fortune, even minimum wage would be OK. I have access to tens of thousands of pounds of my own savings if I needed equipment. However, I've been thinking about simple things like pet-sitting and things like that which require little overheads. I'm male and in my 40s and I'm probably above average fitness for my age (apart from the times where I'm quite wobbly). I live in the Midlands. I don't really have many proper work skills but I am reasonably intelligent and have done quite a bit of buying and selling on Ebay etc in the past. I don't have a massive ego so I'm pretty open minded. Any ideas? Many many thanks :)

How to remove these crystal looking things?

Hello. My parents went to use the hot tub after a few weeks and these small crystal looking things have appeared all over it. They were there before they emptied it. Any advice I can give them on how best to clean it? Guessing they need to refill it and add something? Many thanks for any help 🙂

Hello. I'm looking for a set of 2 (passive) speakers to go with the Fosi Audio BT20A Pro for general music and radio listening either side of my PC monitor (will have them on stands at head height).

The room is probably around 5m x 4m, so not that big. The speakers will basically be pointing at me pretty close. I have elderly neighbours so I'm not trying to shake the house, but I do like to hear those nice smooth basslines if possible when I decide to paly my music. I also enjoy the clarity in vocals etc though, so a bit of both is good (maybe with a nice smooth bass being important if pushed - but I know that generally a 4" isn't going to give massive bass). I'm not going to be playing them really loud, but I enjoy the quality when at the highest volume I'm playing them at.

Also, they may be getting moved to a larger area in a couple of years so a bit of extra power doesn't hurt. For now, I'm probably looking at something with a max 4" or 4.5" bass speaker due to limited desk space (from my research), so the best I can get in this limited space for now, would be good. I've looked at loads of the speakers with a 5" bass driver/speaker but unfortunately it makes them too big for my current desk setup (it would be an easy choice otherwise).

I would say that £200 for the speakers is top end of what I'm budgeting for. Hopefully I can get a good listening experience for a total of £300 including the amp and the speakers. I havn't purchased the amp yet. I've looked at powered options but apart from the new Edifier M90 that's not available in the UK yet, nothing else has convinced me yet. If anyone has any other good ideas I'm always open to having mind changed. Many thanks folks, appreciate any thoughts.

Hello. I'm looking for recommendations for a pair of speakers to fit on my PC desk either side of my monitor. My budget is up to around £200 (GBP) or around there if needed. The sound source will come straight from my audio out on the rear of my PC.

I'm not looking for 'monitor' speakers which are slightly more suited to music production as I've had a pair of Edifier's before which were monitors and lacked the bass that I liked. I'm looking for a fuller normal listening sound with a nice bit of bass. It's not necessarily thumping bass I'm looking for, but more so the lower buzzy smooth type of bass (if that even makes sense). I mostly listen to R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop and Country, so a bit of a mix really.

They will need to be bookshelf size or maybe slightly larger. I was looking at something like the Pioneer DJ-DM-40 seen here (they do say they're monitors, but apparently the bass is good on these and has a rear switch for making them more punchy or flat): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B251YWR7?th=1

Many thanks if you have any ideas (alternatively, maybe I'd be better off with a good small amp and a set of passive speakers).
