⭐ Planning a major solo pivot in 2 years! Nervous but excited! ⭐

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m a 41yo single mom currently living out West. My son graduates in two years, and I am planning a massive lifestyle relocation!

I'm starting to prep now and feeling all the feels—equal parts nervous and completely exhilarated!

My goal is to head Southeast, working either remotely or doing work-camping. Right now, I'm torn between two very different paths and would love some perspective:

Option A: Get a conversion van, travel the East Coast, and work-camp or work remotely along the way.

Option B: Bounce around different Airbnbs in the SE to test out different cities and get a vibe for the areas before settling down.

Has anyone else here done a major mid-life shift like this solo? I would love to hear your experiences, tips, or any advice you have for a solo woman planning this out!

Thank you so much in advance!

Looking for honest friendship! 41F

Hi there! 👋

Originally from Ga, but I’ve spent most of my life out West. I’m a proud mom to a teenager, and I plan to relocate once he graduates!

Making friends as an adult in a small town is tough, so I’m looking for my online besties! 😂 (New to Reddit )

I have a silly personality, a love for dark humor, and a deep obsession with true crime. My ultimate dream is to grab a conversion van and road-trip across the states! 🚐💨

Music is my absolute escape—I could analyze song lyrics all day. What’s your favorite song or lyric right now? What does it mean for you? 🎵

Hitting the 40 club shifted my perspective entirely. I look at life through a completely different lens —appreciating the little things and keeping a high vibe!

I’m drawn to those that actually fight for what they want! Changing careers because they hated it. Moving because their area wasn't doing it anymore. Ending friendships where you weren't valued. Life is too short for anything less than doing what makes you happy! F***k everything else!

Let's share some witty banter, deep intellectual chats, and/or everyday life updates.

Tell me: when was the last time you cried laughing? 💛✨

Anyone else?

I was straight for most of my life. I met a woman and she completely changed everything. I fell madly in love with her. We dated for some time and eventually the gap grew too wide for repair. I realized she's an avoidant attachment. This was new to me. Honestly I learned a lot within myself, the relationship, and her. Now that we have split, I realize even after the failed relationship that I like women. I'm not interested in dating a man again.

Has anyone else experienced either an avoidant or even your first same sex relationship was with one? (Reddit newbie)

P.s. I was super hesitant to join. Everything has gotten so toxic...I guess you sometimes forget there are good people out there. This is me putting myself out there in hopes of meeting new people that just...get it. I appreciate anyone who has read this far. ❤️
