This is a problem because it brings unnecessary negativity to the community and makes the subreddit a less welcoming place for everyone. It also results in more warnings and bans, which neither I nor the moderation team enjoy handing out.

I kindly ask everyone to avoid making negative comparisons between this game and others. You are absolutely welcome to discuss other games, but please keep those discussions respectful and avoid unnecessary negativity.

Hello everyone, I am making this post because I would like to know what having a thoracic spinal fusion is like. For context, I am a 17 year old, almost 18 year old female, and I am about to have a thoracic spinal fusion for my severe S shaped scoliosis. My doctor will be fusing nine vertebrae in my spine to treat it, as it is progressively getting worse and could eventually lead to chronic organ failure if I do not have the surgery. I am making this post because I am wondering what it is like to get the surgery. Was it painful? Do you regret it? Do you have any limitations or severe pain afterward? Were you able to get up easily after the surgery, and what was it like taking care of yourself during recovery? I really do not know what to expect, so I would appreciate it if someone could share their experience with a thoracic spinal fusion. Scoliosis runs in my family, and basically all of the females in my family have it, but only one other person had it severe enough to require surgery. I am mostly looking for answers from people who have had the surgery recently, as medical practices change over time. Unfortunately, I can't ask my aunt because her surgery was performed in the 1970s and she had a full spinal fusion. Any other information regarding the surgery would be appreciated as well.
